Interesting fact that the Merc boys are the only drivers who will have tested against evry other driver competing in the test at some point.
I don't mean to sound rude, but the only "competing" involved in the testing is made up in media and forums. I'd love to see someone make it sound like Mercedes has an advantage because of this.
I wasn't suggesting they would have an advatage. How could they? Everyone is doing 2 days each.
I just thought it was an interesting anomaly from the rest of the other teams. You can compare both Nico and Michael to every other driver. (and I know fuel loads will be a factor so it can't be totally representative.)
I know you weren't, I just wouldn't be surprised if someone said that's some sort of advantage for them
It is interesting, though. You would think two straight days of testing would be more useful for the driver than on-off-on.
Cool Beans Michael Schumacher
Mark Webber
Lewis Hamilton
Seb Buemi

If anything, Ferrari has shown in the last season is that their testing pace should not be believed. Last year, it looked like they would be the solid runner ups behind BrawnGP. Instead, they were a mediocre midfielder, at best. I would hope they learned their lesson from 2009, but with a team that blames one driver for what the engineering staff failed to do, one can never be so sure...
That said, it looks good to see Ferrari leading the pack the three days so far.
Oh My God... Do have you a link???
So, according to your "conspiray theory" why didn't Ferrari blame Massa too?
Have you ever thought that maybe Kimi underperformed compared to Massa???? (No offence to Kimi fans, just my opinion)
You could actually bother at reading the countless statements on which Ferrari hints that Raikkonen didn't tell them what to do with their car, but now with Alonso they will be able to develop a race contender...
If that is not blaming the driver, then enlighten us at what were they trying to do there

So tomorrow will be the first time a new team (Virgin Racing) is on the track with the others.
What kind of comparative times can we really expect to see from them by the end of the week? As usual, fuel loads will be unknown for all the cars but let's consider the possibilities..
Fastest car of all - Will they pull a 'Brawn' and be the fastest car and instantly issue in a new era of the CFD car? Umm.. no.
+0 to +2 seconds off the pace - Unlikely on the first day but not outside the realm of possibility by the end of the week. If they could do this, I think that would be an impressive achievement.
+2 to +4 - I think this is a realistic target and they would be satisfied to be in this range.
+4 to +6 - Disappointing but not hopeless results.

+6 and above - Ouch.
Yeah, i dont think they would be more than 3-4 seconds of the pace, if any. The car really looks good though. i wont expect too much from them yet, but dont think they'll be the slowest...funny feeling.
Anyone know if the Autosport website's Live timing will be active for the 1st day of this test.
i see they have it there, but the link to the live feed is not on yet....session has been on for 20 odd minutes now and no feed from them, only that dutch site that has some updates(no times as of yet though)
