Hmm....Mercedes faster than Red Bull, possibly. But Sauber 2nd quickest on race pace? I'm afraid the article lost me there, Sauber might have a better season but surely not that good, especially with the shake up in their technical team just before testing and going forward into the season. Still, would love to be proved wrong!

Red Bull have appeared to follow an exhaust concept similar to theirs. So which came first, the Red Bull Chicken or the Sauber egg? Who knows, they might have a trick up their sleeve.

This can be said by anyone. New Mercedes may indeed be great car, but no one knows how fast are other teams.

I don't believe anyone's going to be way out in front this year.
Top 3 or 4 teams will be very close.

Fuel loads.

Mercedes' long run laptimes might look great on paper, but it doesn't take into account fuel loads. We'll only *really* know come qualifying on Saturday.

So, if true, why wasn't anyone else picking up on this at the time then?

Furthermore, is Bild not famous for reporting garbage?

Red Bull will surely be the best team. But I really hope Mercedes, Schumacher particularly but also Rosberg, do well this year and this article gives me great encourgement.

The AMuS article on which this article is based had a table comparing 2011 testing times, 2011 race times and 2012 testing times, along with the differences between 2011 testing and 2011 race (indicator of fuel loads) and differences between 2011 testing and 2012 testing (indicator of progress from last year). The order they put the teams in was only on 2012 testing times (still questionable to put Sauber second), but if one applies the difference between 2011 testing and race pace to the 2012 testing times (assuming similar fuel loads this year compared to last year), Mercedes and McLaren are level at the top, then Red Bull a few tenths behind. But even with this analysis, a large pinch of salt is needed.

what is to be gathered on this same sort of idea is that HRT has the same chance of finishing in first place...
noted that "every other team" quite literally crashes out....

YallaF1 is based in Dubai and the word has more than one meaning. I don't see your point?

What possessed you to dig up a thread that was almost a year old?
