Just seen a picture on Facebook supposedly taken today at Silverstone. Looks pretty legit.

No shark fin on the Merc!

Could it be that they do have a shark fin and they will mount the actual engine cover for the presentation?

Love it. The streaks remind me of the flow-viz paint they use in some FP1 sessions.

First car to look MEAN.

That looks stunning! it will take some beating for style over to Red Bull. No fin but why do the new cars need a fin? Stability at the higher speeds?

Look at those two wings either side in front of the sidepod, doesn't appear to be part of the barge boards. That's something new

On the front wing in front of the Mercedes badge there are 8 what look like holes in the shape of a rectangle, I wonder what they are for.

It does have a shark fin but its much smaller and subtle, hence sexier. Car is easily the best looking so far already.

There's a countdown clock on the McLaren website, it currently reads just over 22 hours until the launch of the MCL32, so I make that 11:00AM UK time tomorrow.

It's a cover for a cavity in which ballast is placed. A standard feature.

Not in the front wing, in the nose maybe but not the front wing.

Toro Rosso's Renault engine failed on the 6th day of filming & the Red Bull development team mechanics couldn't get the engine started again:

Live streamed from 11:00am GMT, apparently will be unveiled not long after the stream starts. Will be streamed on McLarens YouTube channel, Facebook and TEAMStream (whatever that is?).

Don't get yourself too hyped. That team structure is a whole mess, I would be suprise to see them produce a front runner car again in the near future...

This paves the way for Vettel to Mercedes in 2018.

Don't get me wrong...I would love to see them do well and see a 2 way 3 way fight for the wins at each grand prix but apparently a team run by italians mostly isn't the best thing . And yes, Vettel will be heading to Mercedes if things don't turn out good.

RE: helmet designs.

Not sure if this is the right thread but, for comparison, here are some classic designs from years gone by.

I got your point and you are right. I just hope so that the driver of Vettel's caliber will have a machine worthy of his abilities. And if that is Ferrari, than the thing is even better. But I would mind if he goes to Mercedes to get another WDC's.

But, as of now, no one speaks of Vettel. He is a forgotten 4 times champion. What a waste of talent :(

In the hints that McLaren have been sending out lately there has been lots of orange and also some blue, it just occurred to me that there is a product that has these two colours feature highly in their product packaging and that is Irn-Bru, what would you all think if it turned out that they were McLaren's new title sponsor?
