I havent been following practice.

Do we know why Michael stopped out on track earlier, and was the gravel incident just driver error?

Seeing Jock Clear and Schuey working together is still really odd for me! I spent the whole of the 1997 season hating Jock and JV!

Michael Schumacher has revealed that tyre degradation is an area where Mercedes must improve, as well as admitting that some of the team's chief rivals were getting better mileage out of the Pirelli rubber.

Seems like nothing has changed from last year

Now that is a good luck, and I'm not referring to Jock Clear
Any man with that kind of look is going to do well in life.

I'm going to start practicing that look 8)

This has to be MS last year in F1. He is too old now but doing well especially in race. He had 2DNF otherwise would have scored more than Nico who is very underrated driver for some reason :?

I hope Michael can beat Nico this season... but deep in side i highly doubt...

Just check how much laps so far has Michael done...and how many did Nico do...far more

He will probably get used to the car more than MIchael will...

we know he has the racecraft. Plenty of that over the past 2 seasons.
it just seems to be those few tenths where he is lacking.

One thing i did notice last season though was that he was quickly falling off the pace in many races and geting caught by those behind.

can we put this down to his tyres front going off :?:

Another Schumacher fan, reporting in, and hoping Michael can bring the fight to Rosberg this season.

I just hope we do not have a repeat of Michael's qualifying performance from 2011. To my mind, this is the one area where I believe a small improvement could have a massive impact on his season and competing with Rosberg et al.

I think moer than anything Schumacher has got to cut out the mistakes. You look at races like Turkey, Silverstone and Germany for example where he just threw points away. This has been his main problem. He has been able to fight back from his poor grid slots with great starts and good overtakes. Without all the tangles he would have beat Rosberg last year.

Of course if he qualifies better it will help. The strange thing I often see with Schumacher in qualifying is that often he looks good in practice, then he gets out on track in qualifying and he just doesn't seem to have the same pace.

I am crossing fingers more than ANYTHING to see Schumi on the podium one last time. A win would reduce me to tears, but a top three would also be a massive achievement and shove, quite literally, two fingers up to those doubting him since his comeback.

My sig says it all

Just a podium would be enough to reduce me to tears, and I'm not a cryer by any sense!

Both would be good :)

I am just of the view that many of his slip ups have come from having to fight for every last point due to a poor grid slot.

I am just glad that I can see Schuey driving a Formula 1 car round the circuits again :D He was heroic last year at Montreal. I so very badly want to see him stepping on the podium again, a top step at the podium would seriously make my day! (preferably beating Hamilton  )

If he won another championship,id be over the moon, but id be more than satisfied with him taking a race win or two and soundly beating Rosberg. I personaly dont like the nice relaxed Schumi, give him a car worthy, and i think you,ll see the old dog back, all he needs is a sniff of a win for him to turn the corner. Can you imagine the scenes on the podium and the jump?

 :!: :proud:

That's just a fashion statement. Like footballers wearing those ridiculous snood neck warmers during a game.

I'm not worried 8)

I am one of I assume many thta couldn't stand dominant MS. yet now I find myself cheering for him..?

I would love to see him get a podium this year... be good to see him back up there...
Any of the current drivers would be well advised to still take him very seriously.

Not sure what to make of that photo really. Its not a neck warmer i know that. Its likely related to his neck injury, my guess is that it provides added protection to the injury and is more precasutionary than anything to worry about. Remember that testing is intensive and very tiring. Schumi will be doing about 80 to 100 laps on a friday then a sunday so its important to protect your neck.

If there was an issue im sure you'd have heard a rumour by now. So to all schumi fans...dont worry!

If there is one argument that Schumi fans can never defend it is his dressing sense :)

OK ... I have done a bit of research.

I am pretty sure those are Yogi Bear socks ...

In fact, when you type "Yogi Bear Socks" into Google's image search engine, the sixth image is this one:-

'I was out for three years, I’m now 43 and I don’t know if I can compare myself to when I was 30,' Schumacher, who was speaking to Italian newspaper Gazzetto dello Sport said.

'But I know I’m still one of the best in the world, that I’m motivated, that I enjoy myself and that most people are happy to have me still in F1.'
