I really would love this to happen

Mercedes
Red Bull
Ferrari

Hamilton
Ricciardo
Vettel

I guess I'm expecting Ferrari to promise in the early part of the year but fail to stay the course, and them to fall behind Red Bull around half way through. I think Merc are not showing there hand yet.

Unfortunately Manor officially gave up their entry last week. Another dream dashed.

Not sure why some seem surprised people are choosing Red Bull over Ferrari. Ferrari may build a great car to start that is ahead of Red Bull but we all know that by the European season Red Bull will have out developed them.

WCC:
1. Mercedes
2. Red Bull
3. Ferrari

WDC:
1. HAM
2. BOT
3. RIC

Like they did in 2015?

It's only a matter of looking back before the very most recent year to find a season where Ferrari stayed ahead of Red Bull. It can certainly happen, particularly if they start out with a large enough advantage.

WDC
Riccardo

WCC

Redbull
Mercedes

I think the Ferrari will be the car to beat for the first few races of the season, but Redbull and Mercedes will eventually catch up to them by year's end. However Ferrari will have accumulated enough points to bag the WCC. Bottas will cost Mercedes some points while getting acclimated at the team. Verstappen's lack of experience will also cost him against his teammate. Hamilton will get into more race ending incidents. Ricciardo's consistency and race craft, combined with incredible Redbull pace at the end of the year will allow him to win the WDC, leapfrogging Vettel and Hamilton in the process.

If that happened and there was never another F1 season this forum could still go on for decades with the arguments that would come from that result.

I have a feeling this might actually be true, except for Williams.

I know Kimi just got tonked by Vettel but i believe he will make it up on the flowing tracks and i do think the Ferrari is the best car even if Hamilton is the best driver. Next year Vettel goes to Mercedes and Alonso returns to Ferrari to pair up with Kimi again. I have bet on Kimi and the Red Bull/Williams drivers ( and even Alonso ) as i liked the long odds on all. The racing will get better on wider tracks and i do generally like the return of a more purer performance f1. Pirelli just have to get the degradation right and it should be great again.

Bonus prediction: Alonso to retire.
