Finally, a Formula E race where the last one wasn't so long ago I've already forgotten everything that happened in it! :D

Looking forward to some good battles in the race, hopefully. This track has decent-length straights, so hopefully there's going to be more opportunity for position changes than last time out. I don't know if it's development or something else, but eDAMS doesn't seem to have quite the same advantage they did earlier in the year; di Grassi has looked very much on Buemi's pace lately.

... or maybe it's just that I don't remember the early part of the season very well, and it's always been like this. Who knows.

Looking forward to this race, I really enjoyed this track last year.

The last sector is so damn tight.

16th downwards on the grid - starting sideways due to the turn. 8O

Edit - That's not the final starting point.

I watched the E-race earlier and it was a riot. Hopefully the real cars get around the corners without using the ricochet effect that was the norm in that game.

That's ok for Bird in 18th then he seems to spend half the races sideways anyway :)

I'm not a fan of this new commentator, he's talked over 3 team radios so far. Does anyone know what happened to Dario?

Not impressed with Di Grassi's driving there.

De Costa had nowhere to go, that could've been a lot worse for both of them.

Wow channel 5 is cheeky trying to fit in an unscheduled ad break during a safety car.

Shame about the finish, but overall a good race today.

di Grassi had a horrible day. I wonder if he just said screw it and walked home after that last crash.

Guys, what has happened to Sam Bird?

A guy I always rated highly, started off (sort of) best of the rest, but the floor has fallen from beneath him this year.

Off topic but I often wondered why channels don't 'freeze' the live feed when they go for an advert break. Granted it wouldn't be live any more but I'd much rather watch the whole race, 25 minutes delayed by the end, than miss chunks of it like we used to with ITV (Imola 2005 :x )

Anyway, decent race I thought. As a Jaguar fan I was annoyed by the fact that:

a) Something happened in the pit stops to drop Evans from 8th to nearly last. He pitted at the same time as a whole bunch of others, so it couldn't just have been bad timing with the safety car. Would probably have been 5th without that.
b) Carroll is substandard and costing them points.

Also, was a shame for JEV if indeed a car failure let him down.

Frustration. I felt he was a little hard done by earlier in the race where it appeared (to me, at least) that de Costa moved in the braking zone just as di Grassi was about to nail the inside. I think he went for a do-or-die pass on the outside and assumed that some room would be left when he cut back in (he did cut in early). Still - not one he'll look back on with much pride...
