As usual, the award for the weakest, meekest racecraft goes to Bottas. His start was good enough to squeeze Vettel enough so that Vettel would be slow into turn 1, not on the ideal line. Bottas is just a number 2 driver. Bad racecraft, submissive mentality.

I just came on here to post exactly the same thing.

Agree, Grosjean hasn't improved vastly since 2012, the only thing he has learned is to try not to take off people's heads with his car. Magnussen is just, something very wrong with his attitude of wheel to wheel racing. A racing bully without the skill or credentials.

As the start is basically a "drag-race"; which it appears Ferrari won in this case, I'd be hard pressed to denigrate Bottas here as the Mercedes car simply lost the drag-race to turn one......

Nope, look carefully. It wasn't so much of a difference. Bottas had ages to close the door, and then take the ideal line through 2 & 3, too.

The Mercedes is rubbish behind other cars.

Nice to see a start where the pole sitter isn’t all over the track squeezing.

Ocon the obvious one, not sure if he'd already been in the wars beforehand.

Hamilton is going to be joining the party at the front before long at this rate.

He ruined Ocon's record of consecutive finishes that was ongoing.

Hamilton is slicing through the field. There were a couple of hairy moments where he lost the front end grip though. Mercedes really needs to be up front to dominate.

Raikkonen has nothing left in the tank to pick up the scraps, it seems.

Yeah, incredibly frustrating. A few expletives may have been uttered - Chilton's record still stands I believe!
Very impressive from Ricciardo so far

Raikonnen is just being himself. i'll be surprised if Max does not jump him.

Max has got a grenade in the back waiting to go off, I don't think he will be sat on Kimi's tail too much.
