It's very easy with the long front straight here.

Interesting now as ham is on different tyres to the others

Honda is so disreputable. At this point I'm wishing Fernando's engine blows, less frustrating than just sitting behind despite being faster overall.

They should undercut with Bottas here, make Vettel pit early and then he'll be on well worn tyres at the end of the race when Hamilton is on newer SS.

Wow, Vettel is amazing at adapting to new tyres! Bottas had his on for a lap longer, could've had DRS, but Vettel has left him in the dust.

Hamilton and Bottas doing same times on the same tyres, except Hamilton's is 31 laps older.

Vettel and Hamilton have something huge over their teammates, as such instances show.

Yeah, he is extremely fast in that sector. No chance to pass him on track really.

Also worth noting Vettel's overall pitstop from entry to exit was 3-4 tenths faster than Bottas'. I'm not sure if the stop was faster or if Vettel cut it finer and was more aggressive on entry (and exit).

Last time a GP was won from the rear of the field was 1993 in Germany by Alain Prost, for those not watching Sky. 24 years ago.

Is Bottas slow again on one set of tyres?

Bottas was 2.7, Vettel was 2.1. If not for that Bottas might've been out ahead of Vettel. Though based on current speeds I doubt he would've kept him behind..

Vettels lap times vary significantly up to 5 tenths a lap and they're not yet lapping slower cars.

Thanks. I didn't realise Ferrari's stop was so superer. Those 6 tenths were critical.

Not usually this bad though. Massa usually drives well here anyway, but maybe Merc gave Massa a cheeky engine code as a goodbye gift?

The win is out of reach for Lewis. Podium is also highly unlikely, but he'll put Max and Kimi under massive pressure.

For sure, But his new engine wouldnt have been installed so it hard to say if he would of had the same kind of race pace.

If SC comes out again, Hamilton on the faster and fresher tires could actually win this. Brilliant drive from him so far.

Yes, a SC is the only way he wins this.

If there is an SC i'd suggest its a done deal, hes a second a lap quicker.
