Ah, sad news.

What a lovely picture of the Hills, if I may say so.

Sad news,

Bette was one of the good ones, ever patient with Graham's foibles

As a kid I played table tennis with Graham at Elstree aerodrome. He was the life and soul of the party except for the immediate hours ahead of a race during which he was practically unapproachable. That's when Bette stepped in to prevent meltdowns, she could manage him when others couldn't get near.

She showed such fortitude when Graham's 'get home itis' left her practically penny less with a young family and again when Damon went against her desire and advice and took up car racing.

RIP good lady

Sad news indeed, Bette encouraged Damon to drive racing cars and not bikes. So thank you Bette Hill.
