Oh very nice. Reminds me a lot of the late 90s West testing liveries.

I like it... Would certainly benefit from a sponsor though

Glad they’re returning to the original team color Bruce selected but the lack of sponsorship leaves it feeling quite Barron. Be nice if they landed a solid sponsor with a superb logo that would adorn those side pods!

Maaan that top-down view with the halo is really playing games with my perspective of camera angle.

A little bland, but so much better than the 2017 livery. Hopefully she's as quick as she is orange.

I like the livery too.

Outside of the front wing, the aero looks pretty basic. I presume this will be related to their statement about unveiling just a basic version of the car before having a major "Race One Upgrade".

I find that interesting because it means we won't have any clue whatsoever about the pace of the car until it shows up for qualifying in Melbourne.

Not the worst livery of the reveals this week but certainly not the best. I know the majority wanted a return to the Papaya orange, however I must admit I preferred last years livery. Definitely need some sponsorship on the car, evidently the sponsorships they have signed are not significant......even so strange they wouldn't use one of their current ones to fill the space until newer sponsors are signed

Stunning and the on track pics are even better. Still got a tiny airbox despite moving to Renault, the rear suspension is new and looks a bit different and the floor is well developed. Not sure how they're allowed the long cut outs along the side?

I think it will mainly be a bargeboard upgrade package McLaren bring to Melbourne as that area looks less developed.

Even though it's clearly heavily edited... that thing looks really mean on track!

Wasn't sure about the orange/blue combination in the press pics, but in the on-track photos they've released it looks awesome.

Definitely needs a sponsor logo on the side of the car though.

Looks very fat and basic aero to me, a bit like the Renault...

Can't imagine this car beating a Mercedes or a Ferrari to be honest, just from the looks of it.

I think last year's livery was better. This looks like an inverted Sauber.

I don't get their orange obsession. I'm not sure even most fans have an orange obsession at this point.

But, at least it stands out, as anything else could lead to them looking like an Alfa Romeo or a Mercedes :)

I think the Fanta logo would make a better sponsor

it's clear that Mclaren thinks they are on to something with the aero.

That is why they are revealing only in Australia. Or they don't want to spark the protest now.

They have something and don't want others to see it. But we will have to wait and see if it does work

PS: The aero behind the front wheels looks crazy from top.

It would have been perfect without the blue, and the halo, and the (still) huge sharkfin.

BTW, if this is the color for 2018, then it's only fitting that McLaren have no major sponsor. They didn't in the 1960's, either...

I beg to differ. I love the contrast with the Blue. The front wing in the Blue shade looks cool.

Thing that stands out for me is the prominent Kimoa sticker. Alonso must walk out of every meeting with all his demands met

After what hes stuck with the team through I cant blame them for bending over backwards, they must be counting their lucky stars he's still there.

I doubt the Kimoa logo was much of a contentious issue though, I mean its not like their short on sponsorship space. The board members probably spent longer deliberating whether to have sugar in their coffee.

Ugh - I don't like it.

I'm ok with the orange but I don't like the blue - they could have blended it a bit better for my liking.

Hoping it kicks butt on the track though.

If Gary Anderson is already saying "...McLaren has done a first-class job. There are lots of bits in all the right places, but only the team knows if it has got the best from them or if more development is required. I think with the Renault power unit package, McLaren is back on the right path...", then I am inclined to be cautiously optimistic about their season.

If they chassis is great and they have the same engine as the Red Bull, the potential is there to climb up a lot of positions in the grid.

Hopefully, they pick up a title sponsor sometime soon to liven up that livery. I mean I like orange, but its a bit bland without anything else.

Guess the miserable 3 years with Honda really turned away a lot of sponsors including Johnnie Walker. The other side of spectrum when it comes to sponsors is Force India. Their car is filled to the brim with sponsors.

Love the color but in terms of the car; the packaging looks very conservative to me. Rear end looks a little flabby. Perhaps they still have PTSD from their days of dealing with Honda. I bet there's an air conditioner back there lol.

Not exactly size zero, is it? It's really fat compared to the other cars. Another miserable McLaren year in the making from the looks of it.
