- At Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton increases his lead for the season to 6-3. Having split the first four races, Hamilton has now taken the TMW vote at four of the last five events.
- Kimi Raikkonen picks up back-to-back TMW wins for the first time this season and, like his Finnish compatriot, trails 6-3 overall for the year.
- Max Verstappen continues his impressive recovery by bagging his third successive TMW victory, and for the second race in a row nobody voted for Daniel Ricciardo (at least not intentionally!) It means the Red Bull battle has gone from 5-1 (after Monaco) to 5-4, although the percentage for the year still favours Ricciardo.
- The second of three team-mate wars currently scored at 5-4 is Force India, where Esteban Ocon's third TMW win in four races has pulled him within striking distance of his Mexican teammate. It's currently the second closest battle across the grid.
- At Williams, Lance Stroll stops the bleeding and claims his first TMW victory in four races. He now leads 6-3 for the season and has a comfortable percentage advantage (68% to Sirotkin's 32%).
- The closest TMW battle of 2018 so far? Renault, which perhaps doesn't come as a huge surprise as it was expected that Sainz and Hulkenberg would run each other close. After Hulk won the first three races, Sainz responded with two in a row, which Nico then duplicated before Carlos again rattled off two successive wins. In terms of percentage, it is 53-47 in Hulkenberg's favour, and there are just 20 votes separating them for the season (159 v 139).
- At Toro Rosso it isn't so close. Pierre Gasly claims TMW win number six of 2018, and has now taken the spoils in five of the last six races.
- But over at Haas, the gap between the two drivers is even bigger. In spite of Grosjean claiming a second TMW triumph of the year, he still trails 7-2 for the year.
- Still, it isn't the biggest difference as that continues to be the McLaren teammate 'war', which is more like a slaughter than a war at the moment! After Vandoorne finally got on the board at France, normal service resumed in Austria as Fernando Alonso recovered from a pitlane start to score points. Meanwhile Vandoorne damaged his front wing on the first lap and threw away what should've been a very simple TMW victory. That someone voted for him at all is laughable, but there we go. 8-1 on the year with 90% of the votes going to Alonso.
- Also becoming particularly one-sided is the TMW at Sauber. Having won the battle at the first three races of the year, Marcus Ericsson has found the tables turned on him completely. Charles Leclerc is the most in-form driver according to the PF1 TMW vote, claiming six successive wins in a row.
