Strange that the deal is only until the end of the season.

As plastic straws are being banned they needed to find something else that sucks.

McLaren is only struggling in F1. In the consumer market they are doing fantastic and are virtually everywhere when exotic or supercars
are being discussed. McLaren is a GLOBAL brand these days almost to the point they're becoming a household name.

THAT'S why Coke signed the deal, not for the exposure they'll receive in a racing series.
Marketing and advertising strategist teams analyze the biggest picture when it comes to big money investments and though they signed
a deal with McLaren F1, the reality is that they're banking on the exposure of partnering up with McLaren International as a whole.

Disappointing to see the world's most recognizable brand thinking it wise to puchase tier three sponsorship on a barge board tucked behind a front wheel... visible only when the car is standing still or going slowly. Oooops, wait. Maybe Coca-Cola are on to something afterall.

You're right. At least we're not discussing anyone trying to sneak tobacco advertising on a car.

At least they are sponsoring a team who are struggling, rather than just jumping on the Merc bandwagon.
