I have been a fan of F1 for over 30 years now and still love it. I am more a fan of the sport than any certain team but always tend to hope Ferrari win. I hate the politics that are now all over the sport. Driving and safety are all that matters so lets get back to racing.

Hi there. Been reading the forum for years and have never participated as at times it gets so argumentative. Hoping for some good debate and opinions. Have been a Motorsport fan since I was very small and I'm 27 now and keep trying to get my 4 year old girl and 2 year old boy into it but to no avail yet. Apart from my little girl loves to shout "Go on Nando" at the starts lol. But yeah I was brought up with Motorsport. My dad raced Speedway and Motorcross. My older brother raced Karts (same age as JB, Wheldon, Davidson) and I did a bit of Cadets at same time as Lewis.
So Hi again and look forward to some debates and hopefully another title for Nando next year

Hello everyone. I've been following F1 for just over 10 years now. I'm a Ferrari fan, due to Schumi mainly, and Alonso is my favourite driver

Hello everyone!

I have been coming here for quite some time (since beginning of year 2009 if my memory serves me right) but never really tried to register. Now, here I am :-P. I am from Poland so probably will be making some errors with my English, for which I would like to apologize in advance.

I have started to watch F1 not long ago, since 2008 and I've been a fan since then. Started watching because of Kubica (and I miss him in F1!) but hopefully I have not lost even a bit of interest in the sport since his crash and I find F1 as entertaining as if he was still here (I am really thankful that he made me a fan and showed how great F1 is).

I am and was a big fan of "funny" threads on this and "old" forum, like immortal "HOW" thread and funny pictures/image manipulation threads. Webber bombing was epic too :) . Also "caption time" thread are fun. But of course I also appreciate a nice discussion about current F1 events.

There are of course some drivers that I support more then the others, nevertheless I have full respect for them all as they are there to entertain me and many others around the globe and have skills that I can only dream of.

I will probably by more "quiet" member as I do not have the need to write anything about everything... but this will be seen  .

Just signed up as soon as I've found this place.. I like the colours.

Races were always on the TV but never really took an interest until 2000 - Button's first season.

Went to the British GP last year for my first GP and off to the testing in Barcelona next month with plans afoot for more GPs! :D

Also, Kimi is a God.

Hello fellow race fans. F1 fan from Canada here. Been watching F1 for 8 or 9 years. Been what you could call a diehard fan for the last 5. Been a long time lurker. My favourite team is Force India. My favourite driver is Lewis Hamilton. IMO the top five drivers on the grid last year (2012) were 1. Alonzo, 2. Hamilton, 3. Raikkonen 4. Vettel 5. Hulkenberg. Just got my weekend pass to grandstand 24 which will be my first GP. Can hardly sleep at night and it is still months away!

Hi, I'm Mike. Had been a sometime-follower of F1 for years on the Beeb and finally went to my first GP (Donnington '93) and got totally hooked (and soaked) that day. Supported Damon until he retired and now a Jenson / McLaren fan.

Hi there. Long time lurker here, I've tried registering thrice months ago, mods only activated my account after my third try. Anyways, I've only started watching F1 in 2010, but am definitely interested in the preSenna/Schumacher era! As for my fave driver... Well, since I did start watching in 2010, then it's gotta be Vettel. Grosjean too, until he started crashing into everybody... Anyway, hope we have another great season!

Hey guys and girls, newbie here.
I'm a member of a few F1 forums and been lurking here for a while.
Seems a little more balanced than a few other I visit, so thought it was time I joined up and said g'day ;)

Been watching F1 since I was a kid with my Dad back in the late 70's.
Became addicted when AJ won the WDC for Williams.

The first GP that I actually attended was the Aus' GP 1986 when Mansell blew his tyre !
Didn't get to see it cause I was further round the track at the chicane, but my most vivid memory was a guy called Allen Berg.
His car was obviously wounded and every lap it was popping & crackling into the chicane, changing down 2 more gears than everyone else and he was sliding through there like a madman lol :D

Since then I've attended Albert Park in 2005, 2008, 2009 and 2010
A bad leg injury prevented 2011 and 2012, but I'm back on deck and heading down with about 25 mates this year

Been involved in motor sport at differing levels, from commentating to marshalling and used to think I was a bit of a Karting Legend, but soon realised I was kidding myself :]

Mad Webber tragic obviously, but my favourite driver is Senna, and favourite team Williams.
Hoping for Mark and Daniel to have a stellar 2013, but I'm a bit of a Jenson fan as well ;)

So there's my epic novel style intro lol !

Hoping to enjoy this place in the coming season.

Cheers,
Simo'

Hey all jus like many others who join i've spent a while lurking in the shadows getting a feel for how things seem to work before signing up.
have been into anything that has a motor and is raced ever since i was little but for me F1 has always had that special attraction. As an Aussie i'm a Webber diehard but i'm honest enough to admit Vettel has just done the better job. I think i'm pretty fair all in all. :)
Looking forward to some well thort out discussion!

Hi, everyone. :)

I'm from the USA, I recently turned thirteen, and I love F1 racing! :]

My favorite drivers are Nico Hulkenberg, Kamui Kobayashi, Gabriele Tarquini, Evgeny Novikov, Louise Cook, and Marcos Ambrose.

My favorite teams are Lotus F1 and all of the WRC teams using a Ford Fiesta. ;)

I look forward to the friendly banter with all of you. :-P

G'day all,

Now I know most people will never touch this thread again after posting in it the first time themselves, but I figure its only polite to at least say hello before throwing my opinions at you!

First of all I've been reading the forum for a good 6 months or so and figured with the new season fast approaching now was as good a time as any to actually start contributing, rather than just stalking along in the background. I've been watching formula 1 since the 2009 season, but definitely a lot more closely (obsessively?) the last two seasons.

As an Aussie I'm of course first and foremost a webber fan, but also follow Kimi fairly closely too. I think the biggest draw card for me to formula 1 was the technology and engineering that goes into the cars, the top few teams are as near as I can imagine to a perfect machine, and being an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer by trade it always amazes me how much the teams can achieve on such limited budgets (compared purely to aeronautics)

Anyway, I look forward to discussing with everyone, although I will more likely be one of the quieter members, as unless I feel I have something to add I probably won't post.

Hello, I'm new here as well. My name's Thomas and I'm from Düsseldorf, Germany. I've been a F1 fans since the Frentzen @ Sauber days and watch every GP. So yea, I'm a Sauber fan but I also support the other german drivers and have a soft spot for the Mercedes team. I'm hoping to see my first live GP at the Nürburgring this year.

Looking forward to be a part of this forum and get to know y'all.

Cheers!

Which Frentzen/Sauber days? He's done more than one stint with Peter over the years.

Anyway, welcome to the MadHouse :D

The first stint! When they still had that black car. That's why I'm excited about the 2013 livery :D An echo of the past.

thanks!

Hi, I have been lurking for a long time and have decided to add my two pence worth this year!

I support the British Drivers mostly and have a fondness for McLaren, but I do accept that Alonso is probably the best driver at the moment closely followed by Hamilton and Vettel
