Ferrari & Red Bull have been forced to revert back to the original testing schedule, I wonder which team asked for a clarification on the rules?

I suppose that clarification is really more significant for Lotus and Marussia, who won't be able to schedule a private test to make up for the time they lost. Oh well, rules are rules I guess.

Good decision from FIA. Lotus still waiting for rivals permission for extra testing days. My views not allowing in any team to running extra days or extra schedule.

I've had a look at the rules and I can't see anywhere where it stops you changing the test days. as long as the circuit is properly staffed / marshalled etc?

That isn't the problem, the problem is that it is the week before the start of the first event. The first GP is in the week of 12-19 March so according to the FIA you can't test in the week 5-11 March. I had assumed 22.4c was a carry over from the rule that had for a long time band testing in the week leading up to the GP but it seems not.
