As the season is drawing to a close, there have obviously been a lot of ups and downs, and some incredible moments/drivers. So I was just wondering, what is your hightlight of the year so far? And what is your biggest disappointment of the year so far?

I expect there will be some big disappointments/highlights at the end of the year too, for fans of a particular driver or the other :P

Lowlight: McLaren reliability, on track, in the pits, in general. God knows they've worked hard at it, but something just keeps tripping them up.

Highlight: Kamui Kobayashi getting a podium, with that crowd!

Biggest Disappointment: Schumacher putting it on pole in Monaco and being unable to start the race on pole. Schumacher not winning a single race. Mercedes building a dog of a car yet again.

End of the Hamilton McLaren partnership! Though whether it's the highlight or the disappointment depends on who you are..

In general, not just single race:

High - Kimi getting his act together in his comeback and not going down the Schumacher way of failures.

Low - Maldonado faltering after showing lots of speed and winning in Spain.

Highlight: (Considering pre-season testing and the Australian GP) Alonso still in the title fight with 2 races remaining.

Disappointment: After 7 drivers won the first 7 races, the latter part of the season sees 4 Vettel victories in a row.

Lowlight - Ferrari once again struggling to get their car competitive with Mclaren & RBR.

Highlight: Kimi winning in Abu Dhabi. Just having Kimi back in F1 at all has been amazing.

Lowlight: Slowly realising that Lotus really had fallen behind after the summer break and their deceifit wasn't just down to their lack of straight-line speed hampering them in Spa and Monza. :(

Highlight - Kimi's win, and Kimi back in F1

Low - McLaren, mainly due to high expectations. And Caterham not living up to potential.

Lowlight, incessant, sometimes vicious haranging constantly aimed in Seb's direction early part of the season.. Highlight, Vettel silencing critics with a 3rd WDC for their trouble --> BAM! Ouch!!!

Highlight: Kimi's win in Adu Dhabi, and pretty much his entire comeback
Disappointment: Maldonado after his win, Grosjean in pretty much every race.

All in all it's been a great season so the disappointment was much harder to find while there were many highlights to choose from.

A Tyrannosaur invading the track would most definately be a highlight, until it eats someone... maybe it could just chase the cars around for a few laps, get in Vettel's way at which point Helmut Marko comes out to tell the Rex off for disrupting Seb's race... at which point the Rex eats Marko, the world cheers, and everyone moves on :)

Disappointment????? No way, knowing Marc Bolan was still alive and the crashed Mini was a conspiracy that would be a well cool Highlight.

20th Century boy Live in Brazil at the after party that would be cool

-The crazy Abu Dhabi GP (and many other great races we had so far),
-Kovalainen's helmet,
-Alonso's shape despite driving a firetruck,
-Red Bull being back on top and getting a 3rd WCC and potentially a 3rd WDC (maybe I mentioned it earlier... :] ...

Lowlights:
-Almost everything about Mercedes,
-Schumi not winning yet (mainly because of Mercedes),
-ALmost everything about Grosjean & Senna,
-Perez acting crazy in the last few races,

Highlight- China was just a mad race i remember thinking whats going on shouldn't they be pitting (drivers in front of Hamilton and Alonso think it was both Williams, both Renaults, Vettel, a Force india. Maybe. Crazy race was brilliant really and then it became the norm so that was the first of tghose crazy races where tyre's played havoc. Malaysia was wet so you expect a bit of a unusual race.

Low point - Spa could of been great then five of the front runners went out first corner. Total let down.

Other highlights Canada, Valencia, Germany, Britan

Other low points - Monza - Alonso in quali would of been epic between him and hammy in race.
Singapore - Hammy retiring no race between him and Vettel.
Japan - Alonso + Webber going out Mclaren awol again no one to challenge Vettel except Massa Oooooooohhhhhhh.
