Driver is presumably a guy called ripe_hypocrazy driving a papercraft Parmalat Brabham BT46A (1978/79) on his very own table-top race track thru Curva d'illusiona turbolenta...

Driver is Nelson Piquet, event is Canadian GP held on 8th October 1978. Piquet drives Brabham Alfa Romeo BT 46 as a third driver for the team. The curve is most probably today known as the turn 1 and 2 in the current edition of the track (not so those days in 1978, but that's altogether a different story).

I dont get it :uhoh:

(and you're supposed to only post cars - nothing else - thats what image manipulation thread is for  )

I do notice that the main focus of the thread happens to be CAR COUNTDOWN, but as an artist I happen to associate anything that lies on the way that contributes to the entertainment surrounding the fact we are moving backwards while looking ahead. So my thoughts are focused first on the NUMBERS. The attribute CAR suggests moving, traveling from A to B. A being the day today whereas B is the final destination when A is the start of the F1 season which due to the nature of time and space will inevitably also come to an end.
So counting the days is just the matter of a split second to realize that the rest of the time span of 24 hours gives me a chance to have a look around what else might be of interest to help distract me from getting bored looking at the calender all day long staring at a single number. So I went off to search for anything that could be related to the number 66 and while I was surfing the internet I discovered this guy who posted his own travel along route 66 and discovered what he experienced along his journey and put up to share with others.
I let him steal some of my time and decided I'd steal some of his pics and put the up on this thread. So you can call me a time bandit if you didn't discover a car on the pic. I didn't either so I thought I'd just plant a thought someone else thought would be nice to paint on a wall next to the road for anyone to read who travels by.
Just something to think about while I'm waiting till tomorrow comes - which it never does :]

I love that car, largely because Michael Schumacher used to drive it.

He nearly won it too in a C11 with a fifth place finish in 1991 on debut.
