Senna doesnt need his teammate move over for him. He prefer fair fight, and definately not an inheritor like Alonso!!

Senna actually gave Berger a win at the end of the season as payback for the support he had received from the Austrian, so team mates supporting Alonso is not a discredit to him, unless one thinks it is a discredit to other drivers too. Even the latest saga of Ferrari winning a championship through the courts is not unique. Senna and McLaren appealed the 1989 result at Suzuka to try and secure the championship. Would that have made Senna an inheritor?

Looking through the sport's history, it's amazing how many of the charges levied against Alonso seem to wash over Senna.

Senna was amazing, no taking away from that. But let's be realistic, you cannot compare the two from different eras. Hamilton, Alonso and Vettel are all incredible drivers and to say they are not on his level is putting Ayrton on too big of a pedestal. The only current driver we can compare to Senna is Schumacher and it's safe to say that Schumacher was more than capable of competing on an equal level with Senna. You can call Schumacher a ruthless and sometimes dirty driver but then so was Senna.


Ayrton Senna is one of my idols and watching his old drives is incredible, but don't knock the talent of our current drivers just because of the nostalgia glasses, 2012 was just one of the most competitive and incredible seasons I've seen in a long time, Alonso drove like an all time legend to finish where he did.

True but I think Senna wanted to win as it was in Japan, Honda's home GP and he was very popular in Japan. It was actually Ron Dennis who asked Senna to let Berger through so he could win his first race for the team.
