So, now the season is all done and dusted, which was the best race of the year?

Apologies if this has already been done or if the rounds are in the wrong order, I've just gone by memory!

This was a hard one and for me was between three races, Abu Dhabi, USA & Brazil.

I finally plumped for USA though for several reasons. Firstly I had been looking forward to this race all season and the whole weekend just felt like a really special event. Then, for the race itself we had great racing throughout the field with plenty of action and overtaking. Finally, and the real clincher, the race at the front between Vettel & Hamilton was spellbinding and was decided on track without any mechanical failures etc.

Can't remember. Although Monaco stands out as the worst race I've ever seen and the first time I've ever switched off. I still have nightmares where fast cars trundle round line astern for fear of hurting their stupid chocolate tyres.

WTF? The USA GP doesn't come close to the European GP this year.
I feel it's getting the novelty vote.

In terms of actual crazy excitement (and excellent racing of course) - Malaysia, Valencia, Brazil.

We were spoiled this year.

Valencia, Abu Dhabi and Brasil were real thrillers.
But i loved USA Gp also; real racing and fair but close fights.
Malaysian gp too, was a wet show.

Difficult to choose, but i say Valencia.
Battles from the beginning to the end, crashes, malfunctions and emotional celebration. (Also, Kaiser on the podium).

Such a tough call this year!

I'll say that Europe just edged it. Several big retirements from mechanical failures, collisions, great driving and overtaking on the most part, safety cars, last lap drama, Nando winning from 11th on a circuit where it has been horrifically difficult to overtake on in the past.

Very special mentions to Malaysia, Abu Dhabi, Brazil, USA and China. And Japan because of Kamui and the crowd!

Off the top of my head:

Can't remember Australia or Malaysia, everyone else seems to be able to remember Malaysia though so i must just be forgetful.
China was awesome
Bahrain was dull
Spain was awesome for Kobayashi
Can't really remember Monaco
The European season was quiet except Valencia which was an awesome race.
Then from the end of the season I very much enjoyed Japan for the Kobayashi/Button fight, Abu Dhabi, USA and Brazil. Although Brazil was a bit weird for me, I think it was a bit too exciting and as an Alonso supporter it was heartbreaking to see him almost clinch it several times before circumstance worked against him.

I voted Brazil alone because altough the other races I mentioned had epic overtaking and battles, Brazil as a spectacle was immense and would turn any casual F1 viewer into an avid fan. Much like Brazil 2008, Canada 2010, Canada 2011 etc.

And this surprises you? Of course people are going to more actively remember what happened recently!

Go on, without looking it up, tell me who finished in the top 10 in Australia and Malaysia, and then tell me who finished in the top 10 in USA and Brazil.

I can't do any all the way through the top 10! I could tell you the details of what happened in all of them though which is enough. I voted for Spain. three way battle for the win with a surprise victor. To be honest all the races up to Monaco were pretty awesome.

Valencia, Abu Dhabi and USA were my top 3. I gave it to Abu Dhabi but it could easily be the other two.

Brazil was crazy but the title decider is always more dramatic so it gets an unfair advantage.

I gave it to Abu Dhabi, Brazil, Japan... I was enthralled by Japan, there were some excellent performances and the podium was one of my favourites of the year for sure. Ka-mu-i! Ka-mu-i!

But we really were spoilt this year. I'm looking forward to the season review DVD!

There are maybe six races that in any normal season would walk it so that shows the quality of races this year. I have to go for Brazil just because of the championship battle.

Malaysia, Valencia, Abu Dhabi, USA and Brazil were my top five. I went for Brazil in the end.

Then its Japan, Belgium, Australia, China and Canada.

Group three is Italy , Korea, Bahrain, Britain, Singapore.

And the final five are Germany, Hungary, Spain with the most boring two being Monaco and India

#edited to swap Italy and Spain

How come Canada even got 8 votes ? It should break the top 3 worst races of the year.

Brazil for sure. Malaysia was good too. As was Valencia.

As usual the wet races pretty much clean up. USA was amazing too.
