The last time car number 10 scored a pole position was Nico Hulkenburg in Sao Paulo 2010. Glock scored a front row in his No10 Toyota in 2009 at Bahrain. Webber in the Red Bull at Silverstone 2008.

Last time car No10 won a race was Brazil 2005 with Montoya in his McLaren. He won three races that year. Previous to that it was Coulthard in 1997, he won two races in Oz and Italy. Prior to that the history of the No10 is not anything worth shouting home about thanks to Footwork, Arrows, Zakspeed and ATS. However Ronnie Peterson did win at Monza in 1976 using No10 on his March Ford.

So of No10's 6 race wins 5 have been in Mercedes powered cars, a good sign for Hamilton next season. However 6 race wins in 27 seasons is not. Useless facts but someone may find some fun in them and I was bored!

And so it begins... Rosberg vs. Hamilton.

In other news, Jenson Button is currently celebrating not being the subject of intense persecution for doing things that Hamilton could've/should've done better.

Someone with some photoshopping skills should do a comic strip of Martin Whitmarsh on the Phone to Ross Brawn.

Perrsonally I think it's a scheme by Button and Whitmarsh.

Not just sabotage it... but as per some ham fans "destroy it" completely.

OH EMM GEE ITS DA CONSPIRASEEE AT TEEM MURSAYDIZ 8O 8O 8O

Every newcomer to a team gets the 'second' number unless they are reigning WDC. One example is Alonso being no.8 and Massa 7 in 2010, same when Massa got 5 ahead of Kimi in '07, and Hill being number 0 ahead of Senna/Prost/Mansell's #2.

No news really. Gotta admit though I was wondering about the forum reaction when this happened.

Although cars numbered 9 or 10 are bad karma for the WDC, those numbered 11 or 12 have fared much better

No. 11 WDCs: Hunt 1976; Lauda 1977; Scheckter 1979

No. 12 WDCs: Lauda 1975; Senna 1988

This obviously means that Mercedes finishing ahead of Sauber in the WCC was a devilish plot by Michael Schumacher to destroy Lewis Hamilton's chances in 2013. Or perhaps it was a plot by Sergio Perez - or a conspiracy between Schumacher and Perez. Yes that's it.

From what I can see the forum reaction is one person who may be a Hamilton fan mentioning it and possibly having a moan followed by a load of other forum members slating all Hamilton fans even though only one, possible, Hamilton fan has made mention of it. Seems to me quite a few are hung up on Hamilton ;)

First post in a long donkey time :P wonder if anyone remembers me

Pretty sure it doesn't matter really, I doubt Hamilton is concerned, and its a nice way to show solidarity to Nico.

Just noticed. Button will have a red 5 on his car next year,. :smug:

IIRC 5 has the highest number of WDC winners and a red 5 hasn't done too badly over the years either.

Really? Complete non-issue, as highlighted above. Stop stirring.

Yes, we have a swear filter now. No, it doesn't change coffin to 'place of rest'.
