So with the 2013 regs changing so little I imagean most of the teams are more focus on 2014 reg changes and just trying use what the've learnt from this year to upgrade the cars. I cant imagean the cars changing that much as if you were to put a lot of resources into some wacky new design that might give you the edge, its most likley going to effect your 2014 season.

So the question is...Is there going to be a lot closer competition next year? with driver skill taking more focus as the cars being similar? and would any of the mid-small teams take a punt chuck all their eggs into the 2013 car, stuff up their 2014 car due toi lack of reasource, but potentailly come away with a championship?

I expect less competitiveness. Bigger teams like Red Bull, McLaren & Ferrari will have the edge and money to develop on both fronts, 2013 & 2014. Lotus's seem to be legit for this year, 2013 could be good for them, as for 2014 not much someone could expect, Merc (rather Merc's fans) will face another disappointing season as they'll mostly focus on 2014 regs, Ross Brawn a million times mentioned that their main focus is 2014 and beyond.

Smaller teams don't possess the money to fight on both fronts, I think they'll mostly focus on 2014.

All and all, I expect a boring season next year.

There are some 'middling' teams like Sauber, Force India (who have had a windfall) and Williams who might get some good results in 2013.

On the topic of 2014 regs, if the cars are limited to 15,000 rpm but with this TERS added to KERS, what will it mean for top speed and cornering abilities (bearing in mind that F1A have dropped the proposed wing and chassis change rules)?

They've only dropped some of the 2014 aero changes...noses will still be lowered to 185mm off the ground, tyre profiles different and also the front wings will be slightly narrower...

Well as it has been proven last years changes did work out good.
I have to say even smaller engines less RPM's and turbo sounds bad!
I think its gonna sound by far as worst F1 sound car!

I see the ide....lets think green, but why is F1 leading the way by far?
I dont hear other motor sports doing same in same scale?
If they continue like this in next 10 years its gonna be 250cc with RPM limit on 4000 :-/

Since I'm here. Have a small question.
Does anyone know where to find detailed F1 specs when it comes to aero dynamics, air resistance, drag, downforce?
Basically everything. I would be really thankful
