mclaren screwed up, hulkenburg should have got that drive. No way perez does anything other than crash whilst making stupid overtakes.
Remind me, what did Hulk do in Brazil?

No irony from original poster.
I do Like Hulk, but don´t rate him better tham Perez, let´s see:
1- Perez at Malaysia: He got lucky for the early pit stop strategy, then shown outstanding pace and finally pushed too hard on a worn tire set tyring to catch Alonso and ran wide which costed him the win.
2 - Hulkemberg at Brazil: He got lucky from initial strategy which eventually put him on the lead. He was leading and all he needed to do is remain that way, however he made a mistake which ruined his chances of winning, but everybody seems to forget this and still rate him rocket high
So it´s deffinitely more complicated win a rece when you have to overtake Alonso than when you only have to keep your position
So for me Hulkemberg is a very good driver, but part of his success at the end of the season was the Force India improving consistenly, compared to Sauber or Williams. So for me, Hulkemberg is very good but Pérez is a step above. In the other Hand, Pérez is 4 years younger, yes, 4 years! that´s a lifetime in F1, that´s why mclaren chose him.
The highs:
Hulkemberg: Excellent quali pace, very consistent driver
Pérez: Outstanding race pace, great on tires
