Formula One is an illustrious and prestigious sport, not a glamour show.

F1's already raced on most of the world's greatest circuits, so I'd go for a central London street race. That would have to be the ultimate.

Formula One is as much of a show as it was 5-10 years ago. Celebrities still attend races just as much as they used to and most of the tracks we visit now were on the calendar 10 years ago.

No team gets "booted" out of Formula One (Unless your name is Andrea Sassetti). Teams require sponsorship for money. If they aren't able to get sponsorship, their team cannot function. This has been the case in motorsport ever since the Paris-Rouen endurance race of 1894.

Bernie has been threatening to get rid of the Melbourne Grand Prix for years. Don't read into it too much. Expert negotiator Ron Walker will tell the media he's going to stand up to Bernie and accept nothing higher than X-amount to host the race, then crack immediately and accept 3 times his maximum. It happens every time.

Chriso, can you start typing in proper English please, some of us aren't accustomed to textspeak with no punctuation or recognisable words.

Not sure where the popularity of London is coming from. It would only come about if we dropped Silverstone and that's not a price I'm willing to pay for another sh*te street circuit. Being able to say, "ooh look, there's Big Ben in the background," means bugger all to me. I want to see racing. Same with Vegas really, it's just a novelty with no racing challenge at all. It would just be 20 odd identical right angle corners like Singapore.

I would love a gp with 3-4 very good overtaking spots. With good technical chicanes in between and a decent ambient temp so you don't have teams complaining about heating up/ cooling down cars and tires. I must say spa is one of my favourites and picturesque backdrop good chance of rain too. I did really enjoy Austin this year but i get the feeling that once the track and tar mac has evolved and been there a few years it wont be as exciting the reason it was so good this year is because the track was so new off the racing line was so slippery, will it be as good in the future? I doubt it but its better than other new tracks over the years

The Scottish highlands. No penalties, you just go off a cliff.

Alternatively:

- London (although not the proposed route)
- Sydney ( street circuit, right over the bridge!)
- Top Gear Test Track :P
- The FULL Nurburgring Ring

I did think of the PdLF circuit although it does look to be out in the sticks just a bit. Would be good if they could build a circuit like that through the trees and lakes of Southern Finland, near Tampere perhaps.

The best place to host a GP would be the moon, because there would be no aero.

With FIA pushing for electric cars, this should fit right in with NASA's plans to go back to the moon.

Yes, because they're just gonna turn up one day not having prepared for the race at all......

You joke, but this is England remember. Our roads get fixed by some old guy jumping off the back of a truck, with a bag of tarmac, chucking a bit in the hole, then stamping it down with his feet (I kid you not - that is EXACTLY what they do here).

Yes, the Nordschleife. Or the Isle of Man.

Drivers enjoyed the challenge the Nordschleife presented. Most of them were terrified of the track, though.

Around a big lake or up an mountain, that only will have two or three laps. So that it will be more like hill climb but in formula 1 format, and in amazing scenery.

Need for Speed: Shift 1&2 have a road race going over Westminster bridge down the Embankment over the Thames on Waterloo(?) bridge and back to the start. Its not a bad route, but wouldn't work too well for a GP, too narrow in parts and a lot of VERY slow successive right angles.
