It is the Bugatti circuit at Le Mans, but I don't know the corner number/name. I don't think any corner of that circuit is popular except for the Dunlop curve.

I'm not an expert so lets narrow this down,
2012 cars so it's on the calendar which lowers it to 20
It's in the day so it's not a night race which lowers it to 18
Not a street circuit, which lowers it to 15
Grass rules out Bahrain
left hander apex without rumble strip, rules out (that I can think of) Brazil, COA, Spain, Canada, Monza, Korea, India leaving 8
doesn't look like Spa nor GB or Hockenheim
That leaves Malaysia, China, Hungary and Japan
First thought was turn 2 China but closer examination reveals its not.
Next thought, Suzuka hairpin, not tight enough
Next Malaysia, pretty much all corners have rumble strips or astro turf
That leaves Hungary where two corners are possibilities turns 2 or 13 and this is where I'm stuck... so a guess...
Turn 13 Hungaroring

I agree with this deduction. Let's hear the answer :)

What was the answer on this?

French or Spanish road...I have an inkling due to all those trees that it's Montjuic Park, maybe turn 9?

Monjuic yes. Turn 11 I think - heading up to the startline.

Great topic.

^ If it's not that, it's turn 3 I think it is (Or the 2nd actual corner )

Hey sorry guys, went to bed right after I posted it. It's the Hungaroring penultimate corner, so turn 12. So it wasn't turn 13, as you said specdecible. But close enough. :)

On the official F1 site it's listed as turn 13, doesn't matter.

Anyway here's mine

That's a wonderfully deceptive picture. Couldn't make Parabolica look more like Lesmo 1 if you tried.

Well, the more I look at it the more I'm convinced it's not right. It's supposed to be Curva Grande, but it looks far too tight from that angle. Barriers are in the right place though. Parabolica has a bigger gravel trap on the outside and a grandstand doesn't it? There's less fencing at the end than there is in that photo.

BUt yeah, it's supposed to be Curva Grande, but I'm not convinced anymore, Monza corners all look too similar.

Googled it. The aspect ratio of that shot is very very misleading, but there was another shot that showed it from a wider angle that backs it up as Curva Grande.

Phew, I'm not moronic then :)
Trust me to pick the 'easy one' that turns out to be 3 different corners! Haha... next time I'll just choose the Silverstone pit complex, that'll be easy enough.

Becketts

edit. can't be Becketts with Bridge in the background, so it must be Woodcote on the old pit straight.
