Does anyone know how to do this?

They're great videos that would be ideal to save as they get taken off the server after a couple of years.

Thanks.

Haven't tested but this should work: http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/

Not sure of the legality though, FOM are very protective of their rights.

You could install RealPlayer. It's free and it always has an option to download any video you're watching, so it probably will work for F1.com

None of the video grabbing tools will work. The videos are completely integrated with Flash, they may work if you somehow manage to grab the swf file, but I can't find the source for them.

Yeh I'm not having much luck with Real Player.

Really annoying. There are other people on other forums that have managed it, but no one seems to reveal any secrets!

Trouble is my connection's also pretty slow and I want to watch in full HD, so only real solution is to download these files as leaving to buffer just freezes it half ways through...

Instead of grabbing the video from F1.com, you can search for them on sites like YouTube and grab it there.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSkcDsKXhwk

The only problem is you have to refine the search a bit and go deep to find the official FOM edits, because most of the results are fan/TV broadcast edits.
