Nah there were a few years there where Jarno had blinding one lap pace. Up there with the best of them. How else could we have seen the "Trulli Train" making such a regular appearance?

He also had an exceptional knack for getting around Monaco quickly.

Still not buying into the "Trulli was fast" movement. One Lap is not enough and he certainly was quick at times, but rarely, if ever Blindingly so. In qualy you need at least 3-5 laps if you are to make the cut.

Qualy back then was (usually) 4 one lap sprints. Then the rules changed to the one lap shoot-out.

He would nail it on Saturday and be inconsistent as hell on Sunday.
