"It means that there will no longer be F3 events at Oulton Park, Snetterton, Donington Park and Paul Ricard, while the Pau Grand Prix has also been left without a headlining series."

Time F3 got a complete overhaul all over Europe. If something doesn't change drastically soon the whole formula will die. With no F2 this year it might stand half a chance.

Inevitable after the reinvention of the European F3 series and how poor the calibre of drivers were in the standard British F3 series were last year.

I doubt it will recover to what the series it used to be now.

British F3 has brought tradition. Drivers like Coultard, Senna, Wheldon, Button, Briscoe, Herbert, Emmo, Rubinho, Sato, Clark, Etc. Now it is very sad to see this series go and all because of money. This series cannot go.

F2, conceived with delusions of being a rival to GP2, was a rival to F3 and there was not enough room for both in the current economy. One has died and the other is dying as a result.

True. The Italian F3 series was the one that went bust. The Formula Master was another casualty I believe 2-3 years ago. In America, the Formula Atlantic by Mazda was a major casualty after Champ Car folded. And also the other casualty was the Formula Palmer Audi series.

Another huge blow. BRitish F3 front runners Raikkonen-Robertson racing (Double R) will commit to European F3.
