Just under 13 hours to the launch.

http://f138.ferrari.com/en/

The name is a combination of the year 13 and the 8 from the V8 engines since it will be their last year. It is kind of contrived but what the hell.

You're quite a time traveller, considering the site says it's 16 hours and 25 minutes! :o

I may not watch the launch live, but it will be interesting to see the car.

They've probably foolishly done it based on your PCs clock rather than the servers time hence why it's different for everyone. I believe 9.30am GMT is the actual time it's launched.

I have a hunch that 2013 will be a two front battle on a realm between RBR vs. Macca vs Ferrari vs Lotus, and a holy-molly middlefield realm between Merc vs. Sauber vs. Force India vs. Williams...

If could swallow a pill and hibernate until Melbourne.... :(

The 138, I never found out but I presume it's named after two things:

2013
and
V8

?

Does it annoy anyone else that in all their promo materials they call it their "2013 single-seater" instead of formula 1 car, or its chassis designation?

Well since they don't do prototype racing any more it is the only single seater they make.

Because nobody in the States gives a plop about F1.

The races at Watkins Glen and the attendances at Indianapolis would suggest otherwise.

FOM copyright has been revised to prevented anyone from using the words Formula 1 ;)

I guess that's a direct translation from the Italian word monoposto, monoplaza in Spanish, monoplace in French. They feel their cars are beyond F1.

Thing Is, the side view doesn't look like a stepped nose. Could just be the lighting either way.

Love the return of black. If only the rear wing could also be painted black.

So the score is now 2-1 in favour of the modesty panels.

I like the black as well, I just wish it was on the wings like it used to be. Damn you Santander!

WTF is the point in a live launch if you are going to release the pictures before it? Talk about an anticlimax.

It does look a hell of a lot nicer than last years car tho!
