Not surprising as at first sight it only appears to have one front wing pylon!

There are rumours of a livery change for Red Bull but I don't believe them. The base colour will still be blue with the white and red accents all over and the yellow bull. Perhaps the shade of blue will get darker or lighter. Time will tell but I expect a car that looks like a carbon copy of the RB8 to begin with.

A yellow bull would be a huge change.

That certainly would be expensive world wide rebranding........

That'll teach me for answering a phone call in the middle of posting something... I was supposed to add 'round the' bull. Anyway you get the idea. I don't think it'll be a massive change, globally people associate their success with the livery they have had for the last few years.

Don't expect a big change but surely Infiniti logo will get much more prominent as the title sponsor?

Ooo, so this is where the smoke comes from :D

Back to business, I expect no livery change whatsoever. Honestly, I would change Toro Rosso's livery to that light blue (Red Bull sugarfree) which was shown as photo last year on this forum. Now, that was a nice livery.

I doubt they will have any serious changes to the livery on the RB9, it's simply too iconic to mess with right now in the middle of a title charge. I honestly don't think it will change until they lose a championship. Then they can use it as a 'symbolic changing of the times' and an emotional plea to get more fans for their 'great comeback'... Add to that RBR is above all else a marketing machine, and the red bull drink can basically dictates available colours.

I do however think the STR in 'sugarfree blue' would look amazing. And could link it in with their product lineup more strongly. It's a great idea I think

I'm looking forward to seeing if they'll opt for a stepped nose. They've been the most successful team in recent years, so I'm really fascinated to see what the design team has come up with. :)

I think the image aove may actually be a bit of a hint on the livery.

Think about it. The car looks NOTHING like can or Fed Bull. A can of redbull is largely silver. The image above has a silver '9'

Maybe we'll be seeing a lot of silver added to the car, to make it actually look more redbull can like.

seriously ... really excited about neweys take on modesty panel and front suspension...

livery-wise i am envisioning felix baumgartner in his space-suit all over the car ;D

If you zoom in on the picture you can make out some colours on the front wing looks like a blue base with red, white and yellow logo of some sort, probably just says red bull

I've already made my launch party breakfast. I wish my glitter-gel drawing skills were more Newey-esque.

As I was stood there in the kitchen mixing the red bull into my blue, red, and yellow frosting I thought "hmm should I make a purple infiniti cupcake?" and then dismissed the idea as it could be a bad omen.

BTW in case anyone was wondering, dumping a can of red bull into cake batter makes for some seriously delicious cupcakes.

Mixing RedBull into the frosting is what i call thinking outside the Box... if - what i very much hope for-RBR clinch the title again, i shall bake an RB9 cake with RedBull as one of the main ingredients... good thing i have the whole season for the blueprints ;D

I'm making an RB9 cake this week actually for an office party. My goal it to out-do the RB8 cake my best friend made for my birthday last year. Its an office full of engineers so I figure they'd appreciate a well built race car cake :eeps:

It'll probably be just as bland and dull as the designs used on all their cars. Very boring stuff TBH.

Most teams will leave big changest (Liveries, sponsors, corp branding, etc) till 2014 I'd have thought. Get all the changes done at once.

The subtle silver/blue checker pattern on the RB2 nose is a nice little detail.

Well, all of the branding and everything is to hide the shape of the car itself. Look at the Ferrari, Sauber, Mclaren, and other chassis we can see the overall shape and other details of the chassis. The livery maybe bland and boring, blah, blah, blah. It serves a purpose though and its not to be appealing for fans.

Well at least IMHO.
