Could be wrong - probably am.

it is much weirder that the car is all ready and tyres fitted when it came straight out of the truck , the cars dont come like that straight out of the trucks

They can do if they haven't been flown there.

It's quite a few miles from Hinwil to Jerez. Maybe that car has been kept somewhere near Jerez and they want to compare it to the new one?

They should be making comparissions an testing updates between 2012 and 2013, I expect many teams to do the same, since the rules hasn´t changed much for 2013

Deffo looks like last years nose.

They are maybe doing a bit of corporate work too.

Show car for the clientèle in the gazebo to put their champers on. .

Oh and across Europe with the trucks there I would say they drove ;) I doubt they put to many 40ftrs in an aeroplane.

I aren't either :) .
If truck liveries are in direct connection with the race-car (and updated) from year to year, then I expect Marussia to have a lot more white than last year. Or not...but anyway we would need some white, the colors this year are pretty much on the dark side, when did Darth Vader become chief painter for these guys?

They don't turn the cars into boxes for European venues. The cars can ride up top in the transporter, above the work space.

Does Lotus have a new motorhome this year or have I just forgotten what the old one looked like?

With regards to the Sauber it may just be that the livery was a bit late being done and that this is the #2 car (the #1 car being the one you already saw). IIRC when Sky did a bit about how the cars are painted it takes a good few days.

On the other hand it could be last years car with a few 2013 parts to get an idea of how effective the new parts are. After all the 'core' of the car is likely very similar.

This image goes very well with the Petronas ads. What better way to reimagine energy than to set the whole car on fire?

Now, about the Mclaren's rear, kind of weird finish of the rear wing, like it was crumbled by a cat, probably How has something to do with it. Also, what's with the welding points around the upper holes? was it supposed to be some sensors there which got knocked out before the photo was taken?

Rosberg fire was apparently unburnt fuel in the exhausts? remember Massa's oil fire at Valencia in 2011...

Image

I suppose if the wiring cut out one bank of cylinders then fuel would just go through to the exhausts without being burnt

Trying to perfect Anti Lag for '14

Brawn has stated in an interview.

"After a poor start to testing when we lost 2nd gear on a practice start we have decided to swap all development to next years car. "

Yeah but...

The Ferrari's is below the top of the diffuser, the Brawn's (uh, Merc's) is above making it a small double-decker diffuser?

Image

Image

Wasn't that the issue back in 2009? The other teams thought they had to keep all openings below the diffuser top line, but a few teams found a loophole allowing a higher opening under the crash structure? Thought they'd closed that loophole.

Thanks, I may be some kind of idler here, but i regularly read all stuff technical about the cars, so it just caught my eye...

It is kinda similar to the diffuser Toyota had. I wonder if FIA will fix the loophole. Also, while this does give more volume at the output, what is happening with air input? I cant remember if 2009 toyota had air fed separately onto 2nd deck of diffuser or if Red Bull was first to start with that?

Toyota :

Red Bull : notice the 2nd deck air intake just before rear wheels near the plank on both sides
