I can hear it now....

"Ok, Fernando isn't faster than you...but would you mind slowing down and letting him past?:

Great end of the season. He became faster driver than Alonso, something that was unthinkable half a years ago. Another podium and great form, hopefully to be carried on to the next season.

Thanks for the bump! Forgot to post here right away.

Massa had a good race. Could have finished 4th on merit even without the damage inflicted by a raging Hulk. Think he yielded for Fernando a couple of times, first lap and the switch towards the end come to mind.

Would like to see him best Alonso every race next season, just like he did the last couple.

Looks good for our baby, GO FELIPE!

I know it's just testing, but, better to be on top than not.

Hopefully this is a good sign for Ferrari. Remember, the last couple of seasons Ferrari has not had that much needed qualifying pace. The race pace was darn good, but qualifying needs to be better to qualify in the top five to have the consistent results needed.

Felipe sounds confident as well and he looks very hungry. I wish him the best and I would like to see him compete for the WDC this season.

Good luck to ol' Felipe!

How did i miss this little gem :D

On the other hand, they both get along very well as team-mates. I can't think of a team-mate which Massa had an issue with, or vice-versa. I could be wrong, but would someone step-in and perhaps validate (for lack of a better word) what i said?

I have no doubt that Ferrari will proper compete for WCC this year... WDC, i hope so too, and this time, i'd much like to see Massa win the one that got away from him.

I don't know what to think... would love it if Massa wins WDC. Otherwise, If either Vettel/ Kimi/ Alonso/ Button wins, i wouldn't mind it much.

finger edit: On the other hand, it would totally be awesome to see a repeat of 2011, for obvious reasons (a - i like Vettel, b - this forum will properly melt-down and provide us with much needed comic relief)

Massa has out-qualified Alonso in three consecutive races. Whatever adjustment they made towards the end of last season appears to have paid dividends.

Once again the same old story, whenever Massa does better job than Alonso, some call from the pit just make things happen the way they happen....

Oh he looked great in the car, but the track just destroyed his tires.

Massa will be my personal spoiler. If, he can stay consistent and stick close to/beating Alonso in quali pace and race pace... He can compete for the WDC.

Indeed they gave Massa the WHITE VISOR last race...

Yes, I realise it is way to early to discuss 2014 seats but if Ferrari were to replace Massa, do you think he would be able to get a seat at maybe Lotus? If Grosjean continues like last year then they will certainly be seeking a replacement and Massa and Hulkenberg are the only decent replacements that spring to mind.

Also- I reckon a move there would be better for Massa as he is more likely to be given equal opportunity within the team.

Massa isn't going anywhere. He's always been quick and merely struggled to adapt to difficult cars in the last 2 years. This year's car suits him so there's no reason to expect him to struggle and then after that be made to leave.

He had equal opportunity in Australia, he or/and his engineer didn't use it properly.

Thats cute.

Please tell me more about how Massa did a better job or was equal/faster than Alonso but still ended up finishing 21 seconds behind his teammate.

On a plus note, atleast he isn't stuck fighting Williams and Saubers for most of the race unlike previous years.

This is Massa support thread, not general discussion thread, you have many other threads to raise your points.

And I supported him in doing his job to the sense of not wasting a decent seat fighting midfield and finishing 166 points behind his teammate like previous years. Go felipe.

So it's a thread where Massa fans can paint their own reality and nobody can argue with them?.

There is a thing called bon ton, regulating what is appropriate and what isn't. Some people have it, some just don't. I guess we all have to live with that, don't we?

Im happy for a support thread. I hope Massa does well and improves on his performance from Sunday. He needed to get infront of Vettel but it seemed that, like Germany 2010; as soon as his confidence is knocked he loses spirit in driving.

You are now reported for breaking a havoc in a driver support thread.

When did this thread pop up and how did I not notice it before? Regardless, locked with the reminder that fan threads are NOT allowed here, and there is already an official Massa thread here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2102
