Blown diffuser style seems Adrian found a new loophole. he cant just take almost half a second of Lewis without it. It has been said a couple of times in the past few weeks that the Rbr's are sounding like last year again. A couple of photographers tweeted about it.

Funny he was sitting in the pits for the last 3 minutes without tyres on. And then suddenly he pulls a superlap. Something is very fishy about this.

So not by Sebs driving not even a little bit a tiny bit.

/\/\ Yess we all know the RBR is very quik around this track Seb is Also two times winner. But the gap increase is just very very fishy let's see what Charlie has too say about this. The way RBR went about Quali today was just weird. Webber's cars always has weird problems with his car. I mean offcourse it was a great lap but you have too say its suspiciously big and sudde. Who knows maybe it was ALL skill.. I just dont buy it.

So you think Red Bull would purposly send Webber's car out with DRS issues?

I'd love to have a bit of what you are smoking mate, Webber has never been strong on this track (and was unlucky today with cars issues) and I think he will be up there in Silverstone again.

The finger is back where it should be. Amazing lap, looks like he even slowed down in the last sector.

Cheering for a good race tomorrow, and victory!

Not arguing that hasn't happend, but don't think they'd do it on purpose, like I said. Prove they did do it on purpose. Remeber Vettel having a few KERS issues last year too.

Yes we need the FIA to ban something to make the field artificially close again.

Congrats  to Seb today that was a stunning drive made others look positively pedestrian, driver of the day without doubt.

Unfortunately mechanical issues are a part of the racing but he will be back and he is looking strong for the rest of the year, looks like he has now got the car working around him.

And early in 2010, too.

And yesterday, now. ;) That's now five races in the last 2 1/2 years where Vettel has led comfortably but lost out due to mechanical problems, and who knows what would've happened in Abu Dhabi last year without the flat tire.

Can someone please reference an 'exciting' Vettel win?

Where Vettel himself is the lead protagonist in race action.
I'm starting to think no such race exists.

How about Abu Dhabi 2010? Or Barcelona 2011?

I wouldn't worry too much imo. People are overshadowing the real conclusion of this race: it appears the dominance of Seb Vettel and RB is back.

Monaco 2011?

And, the obvious question, what does it matter if his wins are exciting or not?

Monza 2011? Spain 2011 had Hamilton right on him for the last stint, also Monaco 2011.

My participation in Formula 1 is limited to spectating. As a spectator I'm seeking entertainment. I might be part of a minority, but I find exciting, high activity races more entertaining to watch. Since the 'winner' of a race, or a championship tends to be a key achievement of the race - I find it more appealing if that driver is the focus of such events.

......Get the point? Or must I continue this condescending explanation of why I prefer exciting race wins instead of comparatively uneventful race wins?

Monaco 2011 was exciting, but I was requesting references to races where Vettel was the driver whom contributed most to the race excitement / entertainment, etc.

Abu Dhabi was a championship win, but from memory it was a run away Vettel win with very little overtaking (Alonso was stuck behind Petrov from memory)...

Basically I'm curious what would you class as Sebastian Vettel's most exciting / entertaining win.

I'll look them up in a few hours... 2011 Spain doesn't strike me as an overtaking race prospect. It also sounds like it was Hamilton making that race, rather than Vettel harassing Hamilton.

I'll check back in around 5 hours - look forward to reading examples.

Your post came across as yet another attempt to slag Vettel for something, ANYTHING. If I misinterpreted it, then so be it, and I apologize.

And no need to be condescending. You WILL misinterpret a post, and most likely have, so there's no need to act like it won't happen to you.

Vettel under fire http://www1.skysports.com/formula1/video/12870/7920533

I think Vettel gives the best interviews of the grid

Vettel is a difficult one for me - He does some things that i really dislike (usual things) however he has some moments where he really comes across like a good bloke - when he was talking about the Hoff and how he didnt like him at silverstone to lee and dc, i thought that really charming and he can take a bit of ribbing from reporters.

He hasnt had an exciting win but not sure that can be contrued as a negative as he makes races boring by staying in front and being quite clinical in his driving. his overtake on alonso was pretty good. id say bahrain this year was fairly exciting,

Had to go to about page 15 to find this.

Maybe that long since someone said something nice about him?

I dont usually, but I thought Spa was one of his best ever drives. Some aggressive overtakes, but still still carefully controlled and fast reactions when necessary. Good strategy calls by the team helped too.

Indeed, great drive. Vettel drove smart, protected his tires and fought his way onto the podium one car at a time. The big crash helped, but finishing only 14 seconds behind Button showed he had the necessary pace.

No one likes him here...
Button dominant win with a 'work of art' new front wing (don't tell it slowed him): all hail Jens, all hail Jens
Vettel dominat/relatively dominant win: It's the car. He ain't nearly that good.Best driver of the race goes to someone else who did great and finished on the podium.
Button has had an extremely dominant season all due to The CAR (like SV) and he isn't really having a great season (like SV) yet people adore him. I rarely see a person who has anything against him.Vettel is a whole other story...people hate him all round.
Vettel is one of the least respected and appreciated drivers and WDCs in this forum .
I belive he deserves everything, especially the 2010 WDC. I mean come on, did anyone see that one coming... :] :]

yes they do, it's just for some reason they all spend their time in the Webber thread telling us how much better Seb is!

I think you're over-egging the Button-love, he's not that "adored", Raikkonen is the most popular driver around these parts it seems.

Anyhow, if there's a difference between Vettel and Button I think it's that Vettel tends to react with petulance when things don't go his way whereas Button just moans about grip and balance.
