Marketing to kids

One complaint, really is this what it's come down to. One complaint and a business has to change it's logos.

I can really see where they're coming from, I mean the label of this beer should also be changed as it's obviously trying to be sold to dogs!!

Disgraceful!

I don't know.. I can see where they're coming from. The image would surely be an attractive one to young children. They're not saying that it'll turn children to binge drinking, but it might result in a parent/guardian having one left open on the table one day and the child thinking that it's a drink for children. The guy who presented the argument for the plaintiff (for use of a better word) did come across as being a bit of a he-who-can-do-no-wrong character, but I can see their point.

But children cant buy them in shops as they're not old enough, by the time they get to the hanging around on street corners with a bottle if white lightening they won't want to have a beer anyway and if a kid gets it at home as Toby suggested then thats down to bad parenting, not label design.

Going off Topic, but my Grans old German Shepherd got a cold. Of Course knowing the old hot toddy remedy worked for people she thought she would give one to the dog. except she didn't want to risk burning the dog so just poured a bottle of Whisky into it's water dish.

Thing got that tiddled it passed out behind the sofa and she thought she'd killed her dog

It's nonsense like this that gives people who don't want swearing on the podium a bad name. It's not even one of those trendy alcoholic drinks that attract young people, it's ale, an old mans drink. If you wanna sell them to kiddies then make them green and call them alcopops... oh wait.

Not sure who this stuff is aimed at. Drunken horny pigs I guess (there's a joke about Girls Aloud in there somewhere but I'll leave it).

I'd rather not ask what this is promoting then.

Lucky Jody Scheckter!

He will change a couple of things on the label and he will have a much better media exposure than with a multi-million dollar advertising campaign.

How many of you knew this beer existed?

You should try opening your eyes. As a real ale drinker who frequents pubs most evenings I see people of all ages drinking real ale in those that keep it well and have a good selection. Those that are average to good, all the lager drinkers are either 18-21 and know no better or those 50+ who grew up in an era where real ale was either unavailable or the quality was so inconsistent keg bitter or lager was a safer choice to them, now it's habit.

I didn't say young people wouldn't drink ale, it's just not very popular with them. If you think different then it's not me who has to open my eyes buddy. In addition to that 18-21 year olds aren't kiddies and as such nobody gives a crap if they buy Jody Scheckter ale. They also prefer lager because they prefer it, not because they're naive.

a lot - his farm is promoted heavily on food festivals around UK. Beer is not the main product. Meat is. And it is of fantastic quality. Meat, mozzarella and beer available in the shops in many towns.

He even has an annual BBQ festival there and one can go and take a look on his F1 cars (exactly what I did this year). Great place!

Just a passing query here as many seem to like a beer, Was anyone here a member of the Atlantic beer club?
Quite by coincidence I just found my old membership card in the bottom a toolbox

Well, if we're just looking at odd beer labels and wondering what their message is, here's a popular one we get at my local
