i think the same people run the magazines, so i'm not surprised. I got the new Slash album in their fanpack, they're worth their price, but they sell out really quickly. The Slash one had two bonus tracks and a pretty cool poster along with a magazine that was worth the price alone

Ride the Lightning is the best Metallica album, hoping the next anniversary they do that in full like they did with Master and the Black Album.

I just wish they would release a decent album  I don't even really like the black album, and the stuff released after that has largely been total crap. [some of death magnetic was ok, but the production was awful]. and of course there is the lou reed lulu debacle...

I like various genres. Recently I listen to Moloko/Roisin Murphy. Last week it was Ozzy. A bit earlier Rammstein. Generally I'm into rock/metal or old stuff like the Doors, but I can listen to anything, expect pure pop or hip hop (I can only listen to French hip hop, but very rarely).

I heartily concur! I think I'm going to go to the Bristol date of The Revival Tour.

I saw Dave Hause with Dan Andriano (and Matt Skiba) at The Black Heart in Camden earlier this year... it was an intimate show, to say the least! Here's a photo...

Holy crap that's amazing. I've only seen him twice and they were both pretty big venues - I bet he's even better in the intimate venues. Very jealous basically!

I only know Chuck Ragan on the Revival Tour this year =/ I would've gone but it's too much money for people I don't know!

It's a lunchtime in-store show, and the tickets are free to anyone, so you should DEFINITELY go! Banquet Records is an awesome record store as well.

Thought it would fit in with this thread.

Dave Grohl has rejoined Queens of the Stone Age. Holy shit!

I've been replaying Songs for the Deaf since it came out. It never got old.

I just hope he tours with them. I've seen QOTSA 3 times with Joey Castillo on the drums. A QOTSA/Dave Grohl show would be awesome.

Yep, got pretty much every Meat Loaf album going, mum's obsessed with him.

exactly two weeks before Monster Magnet concert and apparently there will be My Sleeping Karma. Never heard of them before, but after some youtube I think I will buy at least one of their albums.

Went to see that tour in Glasgow on Friday night.

I have since deleted all the Motorhead from my collection. I expected them to be pretty poor (I'm more of an Anthrax fan, never seen this lineup though) but they were beyond crap. After Phil Jupitus, that was the worst live event type thing I have ever been to, in terms of just Motorhead.

Anthrax, however, were absolutely causing it. They were on good form and the place was rocking. Crowd was pretty dead for Motorhead. Hopefully it was just an off-night and you enjoy your gig.

Other than that which was most of last week's music (I like to make sure I remember all the songs before gigs - I enjoy them more that way). I've also been listening to some Leona Lewis and some Saxon. I keep meaning to listen to the newest Linkin Park album again as I've only listened to it once or twice so far. Not a fan of where they have been going in the last two albums.

Anthrax were absolutely killer~ Always good live. I just wish they would mix their setlist up sometimes, I pretty much predicted the whole hour set. Never mind, it was loud, aggresive and good.

Motorhead were on really good form as well. It was just as mental as it was for anthrax. never seen crowd surfing at motorhead before, it was pretty epic. I am still partially deaf mind

Currently listening to opeth - blackwater park

Great voice. Not really a fan of classical or opera but my parents and grandparents are, so I've heard my fair share of him. I personally think he does Nessun dorma better than Pavarotti, although I don't have much of a trained ear for tenors, lol. :?

Currently Listening to Moonspell: Alpha Noir/Omega White.

Double Album! Alpha Noir has a kind of blackened thrash feel to it, white Omega White is more in the vein of Type O Negative or Sisters of Mercy.

For a portaguese band, they do good scandinavian metal

Shinedown - If you only knew

I found black lipstick I bought an old girlfriend and out on my big reminiscing playlist (yes, I actually had that pre-made). This came on first and has been stuck in my head all day. Black lipstick was a joke about me having an obsession with trashy looking goth chicks. Amused me greatly.

I also found my Super Mario 64 DS. Didn't find the old phone I was looking for though.

Thought I'd wage in on this musical discussion thread and share my current favourites.

Muse (die hard fan, never not keen to listen to their stuff!)
Queens of the Stone Age
Limp Bizkit... I know, I know, I shouldn't, but Wes Borland is a beast of a guitarist! Its a shame Fred Durst has to sing, I mean make noise, over the music.

And a band called 10 Years, I kinda like them!

One of my all time faves though that I've just listened to again in work, is Nine Inch Nails, the Fragile. Epic.
