Well, it's December 21st 2012 in Australia and the world hasn't ended, which just proves a theory I have had for a while: Australia isn't real.

To be fair, if it's a zombie apocalypse would anyone notice the difference if it happened in Australia first :P

Do we know what time of day on the 21st that the world is supposed to end? I mean, is there clarification on whether it'll start at 00:00, or will it wait until 23:59 before we all succumb to the world's mortality? If the latter, then Australia may not want to get too hopeful

No, no. We're still here. Kangaroos are jumping through the streets a little bit more than often, but the emus are tied up and asleep and the koalas are shifting in the trees outside, but that's not out of the ordinary.

As someone said the other day, if the Mayans could predict the future they wouldn't be extinct.

I don't think they are.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maya_peoples

According to wiki there are still 7 million at least.

I wonder if they prepared for the 21st by acquiring a large stock pile of guns. If you miss with the rifle you're supposed to use the shotgun you know. some how I reckon it's life as usual or they are having a right good laugh at the silly people.

When the world ends I want to be next to Sir Alex Ferguson. He gets 4 minutes longer than everyone else.

Well the Mayans didn't predict any calamity anyway. It was just one big calendar that that would fit all their other calendars into a nice neat cycle.

All the same I'm currently spending all my money, burning everything I own, and hitting on everyone I know that I probably shouldn't who isn't related to me. There's no tomorrow, or at least the world we know and love is going to end tomorrow, so who cares.

At the moment I couldn't really care if the world ends. Admittedly it would be better if we just got a zombie or nuclear apocalypse so there may be a small chance of survival in a new world. But right now, anything is better.

You really do learn something every day. I've actually heard of one of them!

Seriously though, everyone knows the apocalypse runs on Greenwich Mean Time. Looks like I have 6 hours to get wasted. And then the world had better end because otherwise I'll have to go into work with an apocalyptic hangover

I said to the wife seeing as the world's gonna end why dont we go upstairs and do something a bit kinky....surprisingly she agreed so off we went , stripped the old girl down handcuffed her to the bed , blindfold and gagged her and then came back downstairs opened a stella and sat down for a full season re-run of 2012 in peace and quiet, im shafted if the world dont end now.

I've been on a diet, and would be gutted if the world ended tomorrow, so just to be on the safe side I've just had a pie and opened a can of beer (better to be safe than sorry).

Wouldn't it be at 12:12, or 21:21?

I find it amusing how people in general appear to be more aware of the ancient Mayan calendar than the current existence of the Maya. ;)

/edit: and for the time its all supposed to kick off it's at 11:12 am GMT. That's when the Mayan grand calendar cycle ticks over in to the next one.

Six an a half hours until the 21st start in the eastern standard zone.

Guess I need to go finish the last 5 hours of Le Mans on Gran Turismo 5.

The end of the world is supposed to happen 11 hours from now so there's still time left

Here's a countdown clock relative to your timezone:

I wish I knew a "Prepper" There looks when it doesn't happen would be brill. #

My Mrs worked out yesterday that so far I have survived 67 apocalyptic predictions.

I'm immortal. Wonder if I'm related to the McCloeds.

I watch programs like Doomsday Preppers" on Discovery. As I said to a couple of mates at work. Watching programs like that is the modern day equivalent of the Victorians visiting the asylums to laugh at the mental patients.
