My best friend died yesterday after having typical flu like symptoms for a week. These symptoms though were not because of a flu virus as we all thought. It was caused by a ruptured gallbladder. He woke up Friday morning having a seizure and what seemed like a loss of memory as he hardly recognized his fiance. while being rushed to the hospital by ambulance he had a seizure and nearly bit his tongue off. Doctors in the ER quickly noticed he was jaundice and quickly found out his liver and kidneys were completely shutting down. Once moved to the ICU they discovered massive internal bleeding and that some sort of blood infection had spread through his body and was eating away at everything which was causing the bleeding. By the time they had an idea of what the cause was he had slipped in to a coma and the infection had already done its damage and had moved on to his brain and heart. He died at about 6pm last night after his heart stopped. He was one of the greatest all around people i have ever known, one of the best wheel men i have ever seen, an unbelievably great friend, one of the best welders and fabricators around and one of the smartest people ive had the pleasure of meeting. He will be missed by hundreds upon hundreds. Going back to work at the beginning of the year will undoubtedly be very difficult for all of us who worked with him. Godspeed Colby Solomon. Ill see you again one day friend.

Massive condolences to you and all of his close family and friends. Horrible thing to happen to anyone, anytime, but all the more tragic considering just how close to Christmas this happened.

That's heartbreaking. Condolences to Colby's family and friends. He sounds like he was a good guy, and he had a good friend.
