Allo chaps,

Just thought some of you might be interested in this one. I wrote a book for Amazon Kindle about a grand prix racing driver named Amy Skylar. She's a tough, fiery redhead who takes part in an epic race across Africa, not unlike the Dakar Rally. Meanwhile she becomes the target of a group of terrorists. :D

Always wanted to write a book about motorsport, so I'm pretty happy about this one. I've stuck the price at 88p as I just want people to read it. It's not going to make me any money but screw it  I stuck a Mini on the front cover as that's what Amy drives, and it was my first car too. I've made the first 4 chapters free if you guys would like to take a look:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sand-and-Magic-ebook/dp/B00APT8SOQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1355847059&sr=1-1

Would love to hear any comments!
Thanks,
Geoff

Edit: Guys I'm giving this book away for free on December 26th and 27th :) Merry Christmas, Geoff

I made this short (2000 word) Christmas story. If anyone has 5 minutes to spare, it's available free for your Kindle :)

All the best,

Just a quick question... I have not got a kindle, so am I correct in assuming these eBooks would not work on a PC/notebook? Do you need a Kindle to view them?

Well, you can download a program called 'Kindle for PC' from Amazon - then you can read any Kindle file, and can download anything direct from Amazon - it arrives in your 'library' instantly. I actually use it myself - there are a lot of classics for free on Amazon, it's great way to pass the time and saves the £2 you'd pay normally!

I've had to become a bit of an expert in this area, so if you have any questions regarding Kindle - or any eReaders - let me know :)

Ah that's great! You should get into it and publish some ebooks - I was a major cynic and I love paperbacks, but I suppose we can't stop the march of technology....

I still want a copy of my books in paperback, just to look at it and go "I made that."

I'm with you on that, I'm heading that way next year. What I meant was that there is a separate audience on the ebooks :)

Nice one, Blake - I'm a big Clive Cussler fan myself! I've teamed up with a brand called Hager watches for this book - in tribute to Cussler's Doxa affiliation :D

Well, I'm giving it a go. Sounds fun and good title!

It's also worth pointing out you can get a kindle app for free on iOS, android and windows phones too. Can't comment on the others, but the windows phone app works fine for me.

Hi guys, just wondering how you guys are finding the book? I'm going to be starting the sequel around April-ish, so just want to make sure I'm headed the right direction. Would love to hear any feedback, good and bad.

Geoff,

I did indeed read Sand and Magic, and purchased your other book too. I will PM my thoughts to you as I would not want to compromise anyone who has still yet to read it.

Thanks for the read!

If anyone else wants a review copy of Sand and Magic, let me know on pm.

Currently busting my chops on the next book...can't wait until next weekend. F1 is always 'break time'!
