This is annoying, because now HAM / VET / RAI is looking entirely plausible for tomorrow, and I think I'm the only one who would have predicted it...

I had considered making the cutoff any time before FP3 as I quite like us being able to see FP1/2, causes some knee jerk reactions :D

We can look at moving the cut off next year, as I appreciate a UK time cut off is more than a bit awkward to work to for entrants outside the UK.

Less so now that I know it didn't cost us much - just the 5 points for Hamilton that everybody gets for free ;)

Congratulations on scoring what I think is No Limit Excedrin Racing's first round win of the year, though  :D

Kimi taking Rosberg was bittersweet for me. I was on for a perfect podium until then.

I'll update this later tonight.

I meant that you'll have the round win, not that the team will score the most points. Unfortunately you're right about the free Hamilton points outweighing your correct top 2 :-P

As the Honda engine keeps improving so will our performance. All that matters is top come the end of the season. I plan on that being us. We had the correct plan this weekend. Unfortunately Vettel deciding he wanted to revert to 2014 Vettel and you doing a Jenson Button means the weekend wasn't as fruitful as it could have been.

Barcelona will be interesting as everyone brings their first proper round of updates.

CarlPotter's Top Three Championship 2015: Bahrain

Image
http://tenplay.com.au/sport/formula-1/photos/bahrain-gp-2015#6

Under the floodlights of Bahrain Lewis Hamilton took yet another win for Mercedes, nursing a brake failure at the end to finish just ahead of Kimi Raikkonen who made his long awaited return to the podium. Nico Rosberg made up the podium paces finishing in 3rd.

Well most of us predicted that Hamilton would take the win but no perfect podium bonus points this time. A few got close though and correctly guessed that Kimi would finish runner up. pubpokerplayer , Fountoukos13 and robins13 take a much deserved round win scoring 8 points.

Results: Bahrain
1. pubpokerplayer - 8pts
=. Fountoukos13 - 8pts
=. robins13 - 8pts
2. Icemanjee1 - 6pts
3. Jenson's Understeer - 5pts
=. jimmyj - 5pts
=. CPG - 5pts
=. Mayhem - 5pts
=. Saz - 5pts
=. Black_Flag_11 - 5pts
=. cm97 - 5pts
=. coulthards chin - 5pts
=. Herb - 5pts
=. dislexik - 5pts
4. mcdo - 0pts
=. Exediron - 0pts
=. fatsi - 0pts
=. 78aj - 0pts
=. Lotus49 - 0pts
=. Bentrovato - 0pts

CarlPotter's Top Three Championship 2015: Singles Standings
1. Jenson's Understeer - 33pts (2 Perfect Podiums, 2 Round Wins)
2. jimmyj - 33pts (2 Perfect Podiums, 2 Round Wins)
3. mcdo - 28pts
4. CPG - 27pts (1 Perfect Podium, 1 Round Win)
5. Mayhem - 27pts (1 Perfect Podium, 1 Round Win)
6. pubpokerplayer - 22pts
7. Saz - 19pts
8. Black_Flag_11 - 18pts
9. Fountoukos13 - 16pts (1 Round Win)
10. robins13 - 16pts (1 Round Win)
11. Exediron - 16pts
12. cm97 - 11pts
13. coulthards chin - 11pts
14. Icemanjee1 - 11pts
15. Herb - 10pts
16. fatsi - 9pts
17. 78aj - 8pts
18. Lotus49 - 8pts
19. dislexik - 5pts
20. Bentrovato - 4pts

Our round winners make up places in the singles standings while mcdo did not make a prediction in time and has now lost touch with the leading two Jenson's Understeer and jimmyj. Still nothing to separate the two at the top.

CarlPotter's Top Three Championship 2015: Constructors' Standings
1. F1 Mayhem (jimmyj & Mayhem) - 60pts
2. Force Indian Takeaway - (coulthards chin & Jenson's Understeer) - 44pts
3. No Limit Excedrin Racing - (Exediron & pubpokerplayer) - 38pts
4. McLotus (Lotus49 & mcdo) - 36pts
5. Fire & Ice (robins13 & Saz) - 35pts
6. My Heart Will Grosjean - (Black_Flag_11 & Fountoukos13) - 34pts
7. Multi21 (cm97 & Icemanjee1) - 22pts
8. Team 4 (Bentrovato & dizlexik) - 9pts

Big movers in the team standings with a disappointing round for McLotus allowing Force Indian Takeaway and No Limit Excedrin Racing to jump ahead into 2nd and 3rd spot.

With F1 Mayhem holding the lead out front the real battle at the moment is between 3rd and 6th with 4 teams separated by 4 points.

A depressingly long break now before Spain in three weeks time. Can Rosberg find a way to break Hamilton's winning streak? and will it be an all Ferrari/Mercedes podium yet again?

22 point gap in the title race. Got our work cut for us! Hopefully we can bring the required upgrades to the start of the European season!

Spain should be a good chance for a spoiler, with the uncertainty of the big European upgrade packages potentially shuffling the pecking order... or maybe just making people think the pecking order has been shuffled! To top it off it's a track Rosberg has always had the pace over Lewis at and that both Kimi and Seb go well at. Who will gamble on a non-Hamilton win? :D

Fair play to the juggernaut of F1 Mayhem though. It'll be tough to catch those guys.

Black_Flag_11, you've been misspelling my username for the entire season, it's GPG and not CPG. Nevertheless, thank you for keeping track of the round results and the championship standings :)

Spain, Circuit de Catalunya:

1. Lewis Hamilton
2. Nico Rosberg
3. Sebastian Vettel

Id love to give a good excuse but I've just made a typo, and then I've carried it forward as I copy and paste it all every time.

My apologies, I'll sort it for this weekend. Still at least I haven't cocked up your score... Yet ;)

There are points there for the taking for anybody who goes for a non-Hamilton win and gets it right... I think I'll play it safe and boring, though!

1. Hamilton
2. Rosberg
3. Vettel

Dammit I so want to take a chance and be more bold and creative with my picks! So many of us are the same or very similar, ,the bold might win! But, alas, I am a chicken.

Did someone mention A GAMBLE?

2015 SPANISH GRAND PRIX
Revised Podium Prediction

1: Nico Rosberg
2: Lewis Hamilton
3: Kimi Raikkonen

Since I just found out I'm a team of one now, it seems like the perfect moment to go big or go home...

PS: Anyone interested in joining No Limit Excedrin Racing let me know, just be sure to bring a solid sponsorship package ;)

I've gambled for the last couple of races and it's bit me hard. You can bet if I go safe it will be a surprise result. I'm a bit stuck as to what to do now!.

Don't know exactly, but unfortunately I know he won't be able to carry on. Hopefully his final entry will be a good one at least.
