Undoubtably the favorite going into this race weekend. He showed us some hints of speed in fp1 & fp2 looking like the man to beat but fp3 painted a whole new picture in red, Ferrari red to be exact as the ponies showed up in fp3 with kimi Raikkonen once again leading the way in practice.
Kimi once again showing brilliance in qualifying only to be pipped on the final run by his teammate sebastian Vettel snatching pole from kimi yet again. The stage was now set with the Ferrari lock out at the front both Mercedes giving chase and redbull seeming like they were no where after disaster struck both cars in Fp3 giving them reliability & mechanical issues.
On race day, things seemed to be like a certain win for Vettel as he was cruising to a 3.3 sec lead ahead of Bottas. But on pit stop rotations the threat of the undercut was real as bottas slashed away at vettel's cushion allowing him to over take Vettel on lap 21 as Ferrari waited 2 laps too late to pit their leading man. Ferrari now seemingly blowing there pit call now have the brilliant idea to sacrifice kimi's race to back bottas into vettel. The tactic didnt go according to plan as the flying finn bottas got passed his fellow countryman kimi without any issues. Vettel now a bit closer, still cannot get passed bottas and it appeared to be game over for Ferrari.
But on lap 30 Pierre gasly decided to give his teammate the horns causing a safety car to be deployed. In doing so it was the bulls of a different color whom decided to roll the dice and perform a double pitstop giving their boys new softs with 25 laps remaining in the race. Max Versteppen was the bull leading the charge up until a mistake running wide off track allowing Daniel Riccardo past him. Riccardo now with 3 targets in his sight begins his hunt as 1 by 1 the smiling assassin takes them down with ease and on lap 45 the

assassin takes out his last target Bottas with a great inside move on turn 6 taking the lead. Riccardo never looked back setting fastest lap after fastest lap and checking out to the tune of 9.1sec. An amazing show case of talent performed by Riccardo for the much deserved win.
Can Ferrari finally give kimi a good strategy?
Will Mercedes stop calculating the numbers and win a race?
