Sorry guys, but I must bjtch a bit about the results of the Sochi race.
Bottas got royally screwed, just like Barachello back in 2002.
And so did I.
I was the only one among us to pick Bottas for the win with Hamilton 2nd.
Bottas was the fastest driver in Russia, and would have won the race but for team orders.
I've been a hard-core F1 fan since attending Long Beach in 1977.
That's 41 years, and I don't know how many hundreds of races.
Never has there been such subdued emotions in park ferme and on the podium.
That's because everyone knew what the results SHOULD have been.
It was a false, gifted win for Hamilton.
Toto Wolff stole Bottas' second win from him, and he stole my first win in the Pick 10 Competition.
Though I'm certain Hamilton will win the title this year, if he wins by less than 7 points then he'll also deserve to get an asterisk by his name for having been gifted the title by Toto.
Sad.

Sochi results HAM-BOT

1. Jenson's Understeer 181
2. Remmirath 178
3. Flash2k11 174
4. P-F1 Mod 173
5. Black_Flag_11 171
6. Icemanjee 169
7. Paul 85 168
8. Bentrovato 166
8. jzusy 166
8. TheDamus 166

Sochi results BOT-HAM

1. jzusy 180
2. Flash2k11 178
3. Black_Flag_11 175
4. Jenson's Understeer 171
5. Remmirath 164
6. P-F1 Mod 163
7. Icemanjee 159
8. Bentrovato 156
8. TheDamus 156
10. Paul 85 154

You could still argue that's intrinsic to the game, some may have given thought to Bottas not being allowed to finish in front of Hamilton?

...Try remembering Imola '94..

I put Hamilton to win, despite thinking Bottas might do it (like last year) because I thought Toto might make that decision. (And I STILL finished way down the order!) I guess you have to forecast the team managers' performances as well as the drivers'. :proud:

143 points. Couldn't have predicted some of the stuff that went down, but still not great. I did Sainz instead of Hulk in the Autosport predictor, but not here.

That's ok. Considering how much we users keep PF1 mod busy on his toes with our posts, a mistake or two like this is completely avoidable & unimportant. He does a splendid job, along with other mods which is why I consider this forum as my 2nd home!
