Ladies and gentlemen, it is back... the PF1 Pick 10 Competition! 2017 Edition

Rules are simple, pick 10 drivers you think will finish the race in the points and place them in the order of which you think they will finish. Points are awarded according to the difference your selection is from the race result, providing the selected drivers score points.
o Picking driver in correct place earns 25 points.
o One place out earns 18 points.
o Two places out earns 15 points.
o Three places out earns 12 points.
o Four places out earns 10 points.
o Five places out earns 8 points.
o Six places out earns 6 points.
o Seven places out earns 4 point.
o Eight places out earns 2 point.
o Nine places out earns 1 point.
Maximum points per race is 250.

Example for the 2014 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix:

Tip / Result: Points

1: Rosberg / 14th: 0 points
2: Hamilton / 1st: 18 points
3: Bottas / 3rd: 25 points
4: Ricciardo / 4th: 25 points
5: Massa / 2nd: 12 points
6: Vettel / 8th: 15 points
7: Alonso / 9th: 15 points
8: Button / 5th: 12 points
9: Raikkonen / 10th: 18 points
10: Magnussen / 11th: 0 points

Therefore my overall score for Abu Dhabi would be:
140 points

The person who has the most points by the end of the season wins the championship.

Your picks must be entered before Friday Practice 1 and can be changed any time before the session starts (just be sure to let me know). Any late picks will incur a penalty depending on how many sessions have passed, note that one second late is still late.
-15 points for FP1
-18 points for FP2
-25 points for FP3
-DSQ for Qual

In case the forum temporary closes during a race week and you are unable to submit your entry, your average score from past rounds will be used.

What are you waiting for? You have 13 days, 17 hours and 10 minutes until Practice 1 of the Melbourne Grand Prix!

@Moderators: Can I kindly ask you to postpone moving this topic to the "Games" section as I would like to attract as many members as possible at least until Melbourne ?!

The 1st prediction has to be based on wild guesses!

With the midfield so tight, predictions will be harder but more fun as well!

I actually doubt it, based on what we've seen in testing so far. I think there will still be a clear separation from the top 6 to everyone else, with Williams currently seeming to be alone in 7/8; that would leave only 2 spaces to really be different on any given weekend.

What we can hope for is that the order within that top 6 is less static than it was last year, particularly at the top. But the really tight part of the grid right now seems like mostly the part that won't be in the points.

Ill be in again for sure. It's surprising how often I end up hoping for my favoured drivers to have an issue so that my prediction isn't ruined, quite bizarre really.

First, I apologise for the server glitches if they cause any problems with entries.

Secondly, the thread will be moved somewhere around the practice sessions for Melbourne, as with all games threads and as we did last year.

Thirdly:

1 - Hamilton
2 - Vettel
3 - Bottas
4 - Verstappen
5 - Ricciardo
6 - Raikkonen
7 - Massa
8 - Perez
9 - Ocon
10 - Hulkenberg

I will NOT be last this year. Maybe.

*Mumbles something about banning the competition*

*Also mumbles something about banning the servers from breaking*

This is the wrong thread, but I'm guessing Bottas to stop in the Williams pit box. I'm calling it now!

Pokerman, can I have an extra 25 points if he does? ;)
