Pit strategies as per Pirelli:

fastest strategy is a two-stopper:
One stint on ultrasoft for 9 laps then two 31-lap stints on supersoft Or
One stint on hypersoft for 5 laps then two 33-lap stints on supersoft.

The second-quickest strategy is a one-stopper:
One stint on ultrasoft for 15-18 laps, then supersoft to the flag.

So basically the Ultras will be nursed to lap 18-20 then.

My heart sank when I heard Vettel declare his game plan was to "nurse the tyres".

Martin Brundle is awarded the obligatory comparison between Hamilton and Fangio. Not bad and certainly could have been much, much worse.

Never been more confident of a first lap crash between the front runners

But which ones is the question? In theory Hamilton should hang back and take 4th if they start jostling for position, it's all he needs, but Vettel needs to win no matter what, Verstappen has probably thought about nothing other than turn 1 since the end of Q3 and Ricciardo is hardly going to play the team game and avoid contact when he's off next year and eager to prove a point against Max.

The recipe could only be better if Hamilton/Vettel were close in the championship still, other than that it's set up perfectly.

Good summary. Hamilton will probably want be cautious but can't be too cautious as he will then risk being hit from behind. I guess the smart betting would be Vettel and Verstappen but could be any combination.

I am wondering if Sebastian will focus his attention on Max (directly ahead) or if he will swerve to cover off Lewis to his left???

Been such a long wait with the clocks going back. Love an evening UK race and the beer is extra cold.

Vettel will go for the slipstream.

I believe yesterday I saw in f1 website that the race will start in 10mins from now, but today suddenly postponed to another 1hour? Why?

Don't know how it works worldwide exactly but in the UK (and I assume Europe?) The clocks went back an hour overnight due to DST so I assume it's to do with that.

What are the chances things get so chaotic we see another Raikkonen win? Or maybe Bottas? I'm not counting them out. :P

All, except Vettel, drove like an idiot into Bottas, lucky again he didn't get damage, Bottas had to go out of the track.

This is going to be a two stopper isn't it and Merc have no new SS or US from memory? Could be an issue for them in terms of the race
