Which takes you to this. So how does that work then?

Those are the 2021 regulations, they don't come into effect until next year.

These are the current ones:

Which state:

Quote:
6.4 The maximum number of Events in the Championship is 22, the minimum is 8.

As I've said elsewhere - why not have a second Australian GP? Everything is set up, the teams don't have to move, I'm sure the organisers would issue discount tickets and Australia could give some priority to the country (ies) it substitutes for (perhaps)?

If it wasn't a street track I think it would be possible.

I think it would be possible if it was a back to back race or at worst race 3 - given the bushfires in the state and the impact of the coronavirus on tourism from China in particular - positive tourism events (assuming safe) is a good thing for the economy and Australia at present is a safe place to visit.

Tost suggests August, November and December could be used if GP's need to be cancelled.

They have 52 deaths in Italy now. Third highest after China and Iran.

This is not looking good at the moment.

The number of new cases is probably more important than the number of deaths in deciding whether an event should be cancelled (as grim as that sounds).

Italy has reported a drop in the number of new cases for yesterday (Monday) I believe. This could obviously be a one off and we’d need to see a trend before drawing any conclusions.

I think they have 2000 cases recorded overall. You are probably right, depends on the number of new cases. However I am not sure if the numbers are correct or do they filter them to avoid panic.

Yeah I already mentioned that they could cancel the summer break.

Jerez.

They tested there yearly until recently.

The place is used to hosting similar events (MotoGP every year)

And more importantly, it is a one hour drive for me to attend!
